ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

New coach - now we know

Do we reckon Jacko is here next year?
A large part of his reason for coming was his daughter being here. Not saying he won't get a big offer from another A league club but I'd be surprised to see him go OS if his family is still here.

WARNING:THE FOLLOWING IS SOURCED FROM THE "FASCIST MURDOCH GUTTER PRESS"
Sensitive lefties are advised to exercise caution.

P.22 of today's The Australian. Unfortunately the text is a bit blurry.

(I have only read the headline) Slater is such an irrelevant twat "bravery" - really? not outstanding recruitment, not excellent technical coaching and tactics. Merely bravery.
Can see why he has no job anywhere near the game

To be fair if you read the article and not just the headline it reflects a direct quote from Jackson himself which is a pretty consistent journalism trait.

I totally agree with the first part but he did say it was from the Murdoch press…

I agree and I thought the interesting part of the story was the first hand account of his recruitment

What a coach we have on our hands, in his first season with such a massive turnover of players. Massive achievement! Congrats Mark, we are lucky to have you!
Not just that, but coming in so late in the preseason means he comes in and has to work with somebody else's vision of how the team was built this season.

That's a big challenge for everybody.

I loved hearing last night about how even after our 4th loss at the start, spirits were high.

Just amazing effort and seems to be a coach that really understands what this club is about.
