ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A lot of yoof missing out on the expeirence gain by playing!

But at the same time keeping senior team players that don't make the first team fit in case they are needed... I'd rather it this way and if there is an injury/suspension when we want someone to fill in it's not just the youth that is ready to go. Probably not exactly what the youth league was designed for but if it can be used that way, why not ;)

I think you can only select 4 or 5 seniors in the youth league team anyway...

CCMFC playing it much as a reserve grade compared to some, but must use any youth on the bench must come on at about 60mins, so they get 1/2 hour playing time.

+ 2

not to mention the possibility of the older guys playing a hand in developing the younger players (experienced heads on the field etc.)

I really hope Panni can step up next season into the first team, he is just a gun player for the youth side

Fitzgerald really could be a solution in the future if we're struggling to score goals. the kid is a gun.

Isnt he ever..........like to see at least 1 of the possibles on the bench sometime. Few minutes at the end of games would ease them in nicely

Fine choices and the rotational nature of the squad set by Walmsley will lead to the developement of more players like Mallia, Griffin .etc If we keep hold of these players we will be able to sack the scouts soon.

Prediction.  Walmsley to replace Lawrie when he calls time.

The most under rated coach in Aus is probably Jeff Hopkins the coach of the Roar's W League side.

Will be a very good appointment for someone.

Played at a high level too so wont take shit from players

+ 1. Have often thought this myself. He's assembled a great squad and is running them well. I don't think its a coincidence that he is on the first team bench, he knows what he is doing.
