Very interested in this one.

I'll be surprised if we concede more than one, even with Kruse and Archie together again. Our attack need to bag some goals in, get some confidence before the great wall of Miron on Sunday.

I'm tipping 2-1 Mariners

Pretty happy with 2.2 draw. Shows we have come along way this season when we consider that only a fair result.

Overall fairly good showing.

Ryan 6.5. Good, the bad and the Ugly from Ryan tonight but he's a better keeper than Melbourne's.
Bojic 7. Did pretty good job on Kruse, occassionally a little loose but occassionally excellent.
Wilko 7.5 Solid and dependable, only blemish was giving Musc**t acres on the first goal.
Dutchy 8. Top Game.
Rose 7. Good game.
WeeMac 7. Pretty good.
Griffiths 9. Superb. Looked more like Jedi than Jedi! Really really good game.
Amini 6.5 Started very brightly but faded alarmingly.
Bozanic 8. Top game.
McBreen 7.5. Physical and great finish.
Simon 7. Usual handful

Also though Kwassie was great when he came on.

Good effort lads and looking forward to Sunday!!!!!!!!!!

Griffiths 3pts
Bozanic 2pts
Dutchy 1pt

Ryan 6.5. Good, the bad and the Ugly from Ryan tonight but he's a better keeper than Melbourne's.

. i was very impressed with ryan again - don't think he could be blamed for either goal. also saved a couple that should have been called back for offside. bravely came out of his box to use the head in injury time (or therabouts)

. i love the way he always tries to catch the ball (sometimes his undoing though)

Wilko 7.5 Solid and dependable, only blemish was giving Musc**t acres on the first goal.

. wasn't so much the space he gave muscat, moreso that he kept vargas on side ... or did he?

. i thought he was offside and wilko seemed to raise his hand hinting the same (difficult to tell on the replay) ... but he should have been well out by then anyway

. defensively he was very strong ... also nice shot off his, ahem, well ... nice work that led to the equaliser

Caught a taped version of the game and have to say i am happy with the point, but we rode our luck. For all these GA haters i say look at how he has transformed this club. I truly believe that he knows he was at fault for many mistakes in the national setup i.e the olyroos squad in beijing, but the guy has been under Guus Hiddink and Pim Verbeek and i believe he took some of Hiddink's philosophy of playing free flowing football and some of Verbeek's defensive gameplan and he is applying it the best he can with our players. He should be commended.

I have posted on 442 how i believe Muscat is past it and if this doesnt make him wake up and smell the roses, well his arrogance and ego must be at catastrophic high levels. Was clearly at fault for the yawning gap Mcbreen had to run and shoot at goal, but what surprised me was the lack of effort celeski made to get contact on Mcbreen, he just laboured along. Very Poor.

Got to give a massive accolade to Ryan. This kid can keep. He has kept 4 clean sheets this year, hell of a lot more than sydney and he looks a lot more confident in oredering his troops, granted he does cause me some heart in my mouth moments, but he is 18.

I just cant wait to see what GA does with the amini/perez predicament when perez is fit, should be interesting. I cant wait for sundays game will be a cracker and hope we pull a massive crowd and show the boys a huge amount of support and watch them break down the football stopping unit that is GCU away. Word is Thwaite is out and i hope culina got a dodgy egyptian food and is not feeling 100% and cant play. Doubt it but cant wait

Thought Pedj was sensational on the right, he gets my 3 points.

I was a little worried at how easily Melbourne opened us up a couple of times in the first half, if Archie was firing, they could of been 2 or 3 nil up. Credit to Matty Ryan though, stopped a number of shots on target and kept us in the game (just wish he would catch those corners cleanly!!)

It was fantastic to see our forwards muscling up on their defenders, loved the physical battle

Thought we were fortunate to get a point but happy to get a draw at the end of a difficult road trip; seven points from nine on the road is outstanding. Melbourne their usual arrogant, whining, diving, ugly selves.
Ryan – he’s human! He actually made a mistake! He dropped the ball almost costing a goal and I question whether he should have been a metre to his right for the free kick, but he also produced some excellent saves. The kid is the genuine article with an excellent all round game. Bojic – full of energy as ever but thought his passing and decision making was off-par. Wilko and Zwaansijk – two rocks at the back, very calm and Patrick’s tackle that hurt Thompson was a beauty – all about being quick, aggressive and getting in first. Rose – a quality game, one of our best on the night. Griffiths – really, is it possible, that we can begin to forget Jedi? Wins the ball, passes the ball, very cool under pressure. McGlinchey – he’s so good that Melb had to double team him all night. Bozanic – my stand out for me, totally involved, lots of quality skill. Amini – the skill to set himself up for a shot at goal was sheer poetry. Has nice vision, calm demeanour, makes mistakes and yes he gets tired but future Socceroo, no doubt. Simon – runs all day, takes people on, hopeless timing in the air and never looked like scoring. McBreen – runs all day, doesn’t take people on but he did look like scoring. Kwasnik – super sub, nice skills when in the mood. Lewis – keeps getting on the park, will he keep his spot if Perez comes back?
Mom 3 points Bozanic; 2 points Rose; 1 point Zwaans

Did anyone else think the first Melbourne goal was offside? It was hard to tell where other players were because we only got closeup replays but looked like it was possible...
