ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Matt Simon- Top Scorer in 08-09?

http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/76722,simon-treble-sinks-irish.aspx

Matt Simon has just scored a hattrick for the Olyroos to take his tournament total to 5 goals. Its looking good for him to start banging them in for the Mariners as well, getting his confidence and match practice up. Hopefully he'll get a decent amount of time at the Olympics as well.

1 would do for starters

Well he had one last year against Adelaide but he got ripped off.
That one goal would have started a flurry of about 20+ goals.

Let's wait for him to get one first - remember people said this about Nikola last year!

Scoring like this for the Olys will give Matt all the confidence in the world. He will score plenty in V4 - don't worry.

I wouldn't have him as our leading goal scorer this season though if he did end up with the top tally, I would be over the moon! It's great to see him in fine form at the moment and hopefully he can bring this form to the A-League.

BRING ON THE NEW SEASON ALREADY!! :D

1st goal was pretty lucky, but the second two were very well taken. Well in Matty, bring on V4

Yep, my thoughts exactly....2nd in particular was a great finish.

I think it's fair to say we're ALL hoping he can reproduce that sort of form in V4, particularly since we'll finally have wide players who can provide decent crosses.

Chances was not simon's problem last season. He just couldnt hit the backside of a barn with a banjo last year.

Matty has been called up into the Socceroo's squad for the Iraq WCQ's following Milligan's withdrawal due to illness.

Go Matty!

he couldn't hit the side of a barn that he was standing inside for much of last season, but the yips are very clearly gone right now. he would've been scoring against some pretty decent players over there - good signs for him.
