ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Matt Osman signs with Gold Coast.

I have always supported the guy. To come back after an ACL takes about half a season I reckon (Hutch V2 anyone). Even Gumps took ages to come back after Princess did him and that injury wasnt so bad.

Good team player, journeyman at best. Replaceable.

If he can get more $$ at GC, good on him. I wont boo him for that

Don, just because someone criticises a player doesn't make them a 'redneck supporter that doesnt know squat'. everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's a public forum, opinions will be voiced. oz isnt the only one that has copped criticism on this forum - look at gumps at the start of the season. Look at trott last season. what about vuko tomasevic (lol), and nik mrdja? not to mention hutch this season.

in all honesty, if you dont like what they're saying, ignore it. i just dont understand why you feel that it's your mission in life to defend ossie from all the shit he might cop.

Sad to see Oz go!
Foundation player, Young and fresh legs which we always need. He has only shown glimpses of his potential whether due to injury or game time but he has provided me with some highlights in my time so far as a supporter of CCMFC and for that I say farewell and thankyou - BUT - You still have a season with us to prove your worth and make us really miss you!

I think you will find Donna that most people are supportive of Ossy and rate him as a player. Actually there are people, such as myself, who think he is one of the most technically correct in the squad.

1. As Floss said you cannot tarnish the whole forum or marinators due to a number of individuals. this board contains all sorts of supporters, not just Marinators.
2. People are entitled to their opinions but just look at the people rubbishing Ossy - they have very little credibility with most of their comments on this forum. If Lawrie enacted their comments we would have no players left and they have been constantly proven wrong in the past.
3. No one can deny Ossy is out of form at the moment. Whether it was returning from his injury or not playing at his usual right back position we don't know. Only Lawrie and Matt himself knows this.

Only proven wrong once thank you Mick... Opinions about Bozza were perhaps harsh in hindsight... Although only one clean sheet in his tenure and a rumoured move to Sydney leave me feeling like this was perhaps a stalemate.
:piralaugh:

But I'm sure you'll blame the defense...as I did

More to the point, who will you bag out now? Or is Ossie still good to the rest of the year :)

As to being a better player than Kwas? Are you sure about that Wombat? I'm pretty certain Kwassie would be starting for us for the rest of the season if he had stayed. He is also cheaper and thinner than the pie eater with the bung knees too.

His record for us demands a certain measure of respect surely (and he frustrated me as much as he did anyone else)

Fulham...i'm trying to be positive...i'm a better player than Kwas.

Ossie is a lovely bloke and a trier but as someone said...just a journeyman footballer.

All the best Ossie.

In regard to Culina, I believe that he's using GC as leverage to increase the value of another contract with PSV. I'd be very surprised if he actually signs with GC.

I think you mean PSV. Not trying to be picky but he's in Holland not France. I'm sure you meant to say PSV. Just thought I'd mention it for the benefit of others.
