ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Matt Osman signs with Gold Coast.

Merenda, Lawrie helping with the New Caledonian team, NYL. I think we already are.

Good luck to Osman ... sad to see an original leave.

With that said, no big loss in my humble opinion. We can and will replace him with little trouble.

good luck to him, hopefully mckinna lines up a quality replacement for ossie

A quality replacement for Ossie could include an imbred bloke from alabama with 12 toes and no knee caps!!!

You got that straight GP. But you can replace the word "pleased" with "f**king over the moon"

Would have liked to see him at RB this season though but who cares now.

yeah the Culina one is IMHO probably the biggest recruitment for the HAL as far as quality of player goes, aside from maybe Yorke(as I write this im having the biggest mind blank, so feel free to add)

Carbone, Juninho, Karl Dodd just to name a few.

Definately not a loss.  He did play well at RB last season before his injury but prior to that purple patch he had never looked like an HAL player to me. He has been terrible this year.

A better player than Kwas imho opinion but certainly not a negative him going.  Lawrie is loyal to blokes who sometimes are not really good enough ...(Kwas/Ossie/O'Grady/Clarky/Brown etc) so sometimes its a blessing that they seek greener pastures and spare LM the tough decisions.

yeah see thats what I mean by mind blank..stupid HSC...probably the best part is that he is in his prime, not looking for the final paycheck before retirement

More to the point, who will you bag out now? Or is Ossie still good to the rest of the year :)

As to being a better player than Kwas? Are you sure about that Wombat? I'm pretty certain Kwassie would be starting for us for the rest of the season if he had stayed. He is also cheaper and thinner than the pie eater with the bung knees too.

His record for us demands a certain measure of respect surely (and he frustrated me as much as he did anyone else)

Ossie's good for the rest of the year as long as he continues to play RM.

Miron could have done OK with signing Ossie if he plays him at RB

Good player, but yet to show his full potential for the Mariners. He may shine for the GC or be a bench player.
Would like to know who we can't afford to loose.

Jedinak
Simon
Vuko
Macca
bojic
Caceres

etc their my top 6

I'm sad to see Osman leave.
I feel he has contributed a lot to the mariners especially in Season 1 and Season 3.
Hopefully we can find a replacement next year as we have no one who can play both RB and RM.

Not everyone has 'picked on him' Donna even though your post makes that assumption.
