ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think tonight's game showed all the deficiencies and weaknesses in the players that are Jacko's preferred starting side.
I may be being pessimistic but I think it is time to forget about competing this year and give the younger players more minutes and exposure. They obviously have much more potential than some of this year's signings.
It is going to be a rebuilding year but who knows what may happen if we give the kids more game time.

We got whooped by a proper first team, on a proper budget, from a better league. There's no disgrace in that.

Could have been much worse if it wasn't for our 18 y.o. keeper who is already developing quickly.

Green shoots and all that, AFC Elite is nothing like ALeague. Glad I didn't waste any money on an overseas trip though, Japan away games could be an utter rinsing.

That one was on Jacko. You can’t keep
Passing back and inviting the press when you can’t play through it. The amount of times we went backwards from halfway to then have the keeper boot it away to halfway and loose it was crazy

Also if we are supposed to be a counter attacking team then you can’t have Edmo ans Koul together and One touch Fajeo or the brick foot from brazil.

Should of been Koul NGor and Theo.

If you want to hold the ball we needed 3 midfielders.

Everyone knows they are a successful high pressing team and we played into there hands (like we do against SFC too)

Congratulations to Japan because they now have a full league or two of players who are highly technical. We are still physical run all day toe pokers in Aus. The Japanese play is a joy to watch and throw in some technical foreigners they are very good teams. The gap is huge but we also did ourselves no favours tonight

I like to try and pick out the players that are clearly following instruction.

And Alfie is one I reckon would be very good in a side that is clicking.

I believe he has been told to try for the piercing balls but we are simply not setup to recieve and control those passes with defenders man marking up our arses.

As well as our wide backs given licence to bomb forward but then our 2 solid defensive lines are in absolute tatters when we loose the ball.

Very Tottenham feel about it, without the goal scoring.

I dont think blowing up at the team is the right strat, just concede defeat and move on. The canyon in quality was there for all to see there's no point reaming the boys when we have buckley's chance of competing in the ACL when we lost all our quality players from last season.

Can you stop death riding the whole team it's depressing, they were a better team from a better league. This was a nothing game, we were already done in this comp.
I see death riding as when a fan picks one player consistently and picks out every fault without seeing any positives
Criticism and negativity are something different.
I am feeling very negative so far this season and am getting close to piling a shit load of criticism on some of our starting players.
I have not been overly impressed by our A-League performances not just tonight's lesson.
Last year's team played better football in the first three games of the season for 3 losses than this yer's team did for 3 draws.
I have given enough time to some players to show what they have got offer and getting tired of trying to see the positives in some obviously lost causes.

No more Mr Positive here on what I have seen.

You ain't seen nothing yet.

The beaten by a better team comments might still apply at 8pm on Sunday for the review of the Shitney game. I’m very concerned for Sunday, I see a young team making a habit of losing and a manager now sledging players publicly. It’s heading south, just have to avoid the spoon which we should be able to do.
