ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The coach needs ot go because it becoming increasingly obvious that there are favourites in the squad who will play regardless.

Dylan would have been dropped if that was not the case, I cant think of more than 2 or 3 games since he came here where he has been anything other than ordinary. Hutch has been debated endlessly.

New coach, new broom, new attitude

The Mariner's ACL campaign has been an embarassing, humiliating disaster. It has been bitterly dissappointing and something I want to forget as quickly as possible. I wish we would forfeit the remaining game and call it quits now. Then we can focus on putting together a decent football team in time for the next A-League season that knows how to score goals and defend properly.

Cockerill said during the broadcast that Sharjah (from the UAE) has done just that with their remaining two ACL games.  Evidently they're mired in a desperate relegation battle they want to concentrate on ahead of continental glory.

He also said that the AFC are furious with them and are deciding on the appropriate punishment.  Should be very interesting.

Quote from our coach (but for how much longer?? after the game.

"Well try a few new players that havent played, well try to win the game but well freshen things up."

good, walk round the dressing room and tell the dead wood to f**k off (or limp off in Mrdja's case)

Next game please:

Danny
Wilko Boogs Sherlock Heff
Elrich/Kwas Huke  Gumps Rizzo (at least give him 1 game)
Matty Brady S

Ok so Gumps is there so Hutcho can piss off to Malta and Brady will get sent off after 5 mins but what the hell, we cant qualify anyway

mmm, punishment would likely be a substantial fine

the UAE club's response would be "which pocket do you want me to get those dollars out of?"

Bojic and clarke are clueless defenders. Porter at least tries but is so easy to dummy and make space against.  Wilko was probably ok but is not a Centre Back (still someone told me he's going to Japan next year....I doubt it but i hope so).
Hutcho is rubbish.  Gumps tries and can al least pass the ball but is too old for 90 mins.
Kwas did OK but both his goals were very lucky.
Huke didn't impress but might have something with a bit more game time and played in position.
Heff is a worry.
Simon is a top lad but still panics. D-mac was poor.

We need two CB's. RB, LB.  Centre Mid.  Striker.  Technical Coach.

You are right Bear.  It was a fluke that the defender completely missed the ball but Kwas' touch and finish were high quality.

"We're not that far away, it's just those little mistakes we keep making," he said. "And that's one of the reasons why we have to get new players in. We need to get a bit of discipline and grunt in there again, because we are too nice a team."

Lawrie in the SMH after the latest debacle.

FFS, you are their boss, if they are too nice it means they arent scared of losing their jobs - the boss sets the culture so rip it up someone, sack someone but FFS do something about it.

LOL @ not far away (just need ot fix the 90 minutes on game days, rest of the week is pretty good)
