ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Game is all about pressure in the midfield. If you keep Kisel, Musialik and Shooter pinned back, Corica and the front two become very isolated. We become a 4-3-gap-1-2. If you let us keep the ball and apply pressure, Kisel gets right forward and Corica virtually plays in the forward line, and we'll do damage.

Mariners seek crucial points
Tuesday, 22 December 2009

Central Coast coach Lawrie McKinna is considering making several changes as the Mariners battle to avoid four Hyundai A-League defeats in a row against Sydney on Wednesday night.

Losses to Gold Coast, Melbourne and Brisbane have seen the Mariners slip from third to sixth place.

Last-placed North Queensland is only three points behind the Mariners so a victory is essential for Central Coast at the Sydney Football Stadium.

McKinna will delay naming a starting side until game day but four players have been drafted into the squad.

Defender Dean Heffernan and midfielder John Hutchinson return from suspension, while Matthew Crowell and Nik Mrdja are also back in the club's top squad.

Heffernan and Hutchinson are set to start after several eye-catching performances before missing last week's home defeat against Brisbane.

"We missed both of them last week," McKinna said.

"Having them back is a huge bonus."

Mrdja was dumped from the squad last week but has shown glimpses of his best form during the campaign.

Meanwhile, McKinna has been happy with how his team has responded from the hat-trick of defeats.

"Training has been very good this week," he said.

"Everybody is fine, we're just very keen to turn things around after what has been a tough few weeks."

Breeze as ref....oh dear. The one thing that gives me hope is remembering when I was convinced Breeze favoured the Scum 100% and would always screw over the opposition. Then he was in charge of the F3 Dervy match at Bluetongue last year and I went "Oh f**k, we're no chance!" Instead, we won 1-0 and Breeze put on one of the finest refereeing performances I have seen in the A-League- barely noticed him all night. Then a month or two later he red-carded Sackwhacker, which was the icing on the cake!

We're due to get a fair game from Lisa Ho.

Vital game. Just the sort we have tended to lose in the past.
That has to change some time...

And no better time than NOW.

Beat SFC at home and we can build form there and hopefully come home with a wet sail.

COME ON YOU YELLOOOOOWWWW!!!

I'm going to apply the standard SFC rule of 09/10 to this game:
*SFC scores first, SFC wins game
*CCM scores first, CCM wins game
