ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

beond .do any of your guys wear sydney croatia, marconi or melta eagles shirts.

Wouldn't be surprised if they do, the Wanderers home kit is very rare (some even order plain hoop shirts from overseas, or bought Flamenco kits). Few of the guys are involved in their local clubs.

I can't remember exactly because when I heard it I started singing along but with our words, but the bits I got...

Ole Ole, Ole Ole,
Something, Something,
Ole Ole, Ole Ole,
Something, Something...

Western Sydney Ole Ole Ole,
Ole Ole Ole,
Ole Ole Ole,

Replace with
Ole Ole, Ole Ole,
Central Coast, Mariners,
Ole Ole, Ole Ole,
Central Coast, Mariners,

We all follow a yellow football team,
A yellow football team,
A yellow football team...

I can't find any videos of either chant though!

Was 1 dickhead. No one knew him or had ever seen him before. He was off his chops.

Police were advised and he was chucked out.

Bay 16 has always self policed .

Cheers mate, I know it's not the first time Bay 16 has handed off somebody to the police.

And I certainly hope the Banner about Ono didn't actually exist (I'm not convinced it did); you an't pretend that's anything but racist.

The person with the banner would probably said "Japanese, Korean they all look alike", racial stereotyping.

Couple of guys got told by CCMfans to 'Go back to where you came from', 'f'en wogs'... hmmm... whoever said it do they even know anything about the game at all.

Bloody hope this crap is stop (ALeague in general) and don't take hold, if they get away with it, what's next? Monkey chants?

I'm sure this is a minority.

I shook hands with a few WSW fans after the game and the majority were "non Anglo". At the first game of the season quite at few of your fans wanted to punch on with me and every single of them was non Anglo.....i didnt think is was a racial thing.....it was simply because they were dickheads.
The Mariners fans seam to have a healthy respect for WSW as a team and as a supporter group.....lets keep it that way.
As for Monkey chants...they are most commonly heard in Croatia, serbia, Italy and Russia.

I'd be surprised if it didn't to be honest, only because this world has a small handful of dickheads in it. Out of 18000+ people it only takes a couple to ruin someone else's night. It's a pity but it's not an epidemic. Big credit to Bay 16 for always setting high standards when it comes to the what's acceptable and what's not. Not the biggest active support group but in some respects, we have the best.

I made Nikolai 'Poppa' Stanley the MoM;
Arnie is right when he says senior players should take responsibility for penalties - Hutchinson and Zwaanswijk are the captain and vice-captain - seems clear to me they should take the responsibility and I would trust either of them.
I made McGlinchey the Mariners best but yes I do like the look of Fitzgerald, good feet, good awareness and i can't buy the crisitcism of Bernie, his work rate is as good as any of our players he defends well and he creates opportunities.
Arnie and the coaches shouldn't be downhearted, we played well, very well in the conditions, and on another day would win any game

Hey Guys, just want to say thanks for the advice earlier in the week. The parking was great, the buffet at the club was sensational and a few beers at the Leagues Club went down well having a yack to some of our supporters and plenty of you guys as well.

As for the game, thought we were second best all night, conditions were terrible so considering that it was pretty good quality, Covic made a few important saves which kept us in it and then we got one on the break. I do give credit to our guys though when you're under the pump most of the game it takes a pretty good defence (and a bit of luck) to hold on and while ever you hold on you can nab one on the break which we ended up doing. As I said though we were second best all night.

In the terraces it was incredible, the pi$$ing down rain somehow added to the atmosphere and although they wont report it, there was plenty of 'yellow' in the crowd as well who made plenty of noise. I guess we are pretty lucky in a way to be be brand new, cos it means that everyone has come in to the Club at the same time so everyone knows the chants and everyone gets involved. I know you blokes probably wont be happy with the result but man if someone had told me 1 year ago that you would get over 19K to Bluetongue in the pissing down rain and the atmosphere would be like an OS match I would have laughed at them, So thanks for the hospitality and no doubt we will see you Grand Final day, where I honestly hope it goes to penalties!!! :piralaugh:

How refreshing to have sensible generous comments from a true football fan! Thank you

Ha! Would not know King Tom, or Melita Stadium, if they 'drove past' :pirashoot:

A lot of band-waggoners and Euro-snobs. A whole car-load with red Manu shorts on in front of me.

Ditto.

"We all fol-low a yelow football team..."
"Wes-tern Syd-ney, ole ole ole..."

There's two chant's we have 'ole' on, one after 1-2-3 west, and the other one when we jump around (don't think we did this last night). If you think you heard it, well... meh.

Good luck developing your active support, see you all next time, hopefully GF at Allianz (unfortunately there's a concert at ANZ on GF day).

Feel free to message the CCM official facebook page. They will confirm it for you.

No need, happy to believe him. It was something I heard on another forum, so I just wanted to know if anybody else had seen it. We're usually pretty well behaved :)

We are well behaved. One dickhead threw one coke bottle.....so what.

WSW let off three flares and threw countless bottles and beer glasses.

Grow up.

The terrible offensive banner (that I didn't see) was a throw back to round 1 when the Mariners chanted .....

Shinji Ono ate my dog ...ate my dog
He sliced and diced it
And put it in a wok
Shinji Ono....ate my dog.

yeah I heard yellow submarine also

on another note Arnie has now said he'll be selecting a permanent penalty taker from now on, my guess McBreen
Zwaany and Duke should also be considered

Leaving aside the fact that it's certainly in questionable taste and picking on someone for their nationality is really not on, it's simply a dumb thing to sing. Koreans customarily eat dog, not Japanese. Japanese eat things like horse and whale, but not dog.

Mildly amusing the first couple of times it was sung.

Man city had a similar song about park of Man U.

Questionable taste...yes.

Storm in a tea cup...yes.

Ask the girl at the concert which is worst....a childish banner or some dickhead letting a flare go in a crowd.
