Phew, thank God that's over. A draw is a good result over there where Wellington are very hard to beat + for our guys to stick it out after a week of flu etc shows how gritty we are.

Let's get the squad healthy and fit for next week's epic against the tards.

IMHO excellent game to watch.
- referee pretty crap in the 2nd half
- where was the bloody penalties!!!!!!!!!!
- great game by both keepers
- well done to clarky for coming back on and playing most of the game

What ever it takes to sign Bozza as a Marquee would be worth every cent, as for the "dive" if it happend outside the box the ref would just wave play on, guess a dive is different where it actually happens.
Well it was a clean sheet for Bozza and every one that he does is a extra $100,000 on his next contract if we dont start negotiating soon the Euro Scouts will be comming over next two games he is getting match fit now especially comming out for the ball this week as noticed by the comentators.

Yeh, frustrating game to watch with the lost opportunities; you're killing me Sash!!! Simon had a fairly quiet game which is a bit of a shame.

I paid out on Porter's effort last game but thought he made a really good contribution today. Overall I thought it was a good team effort and just loved how we dominated the midfield and strung plenty of passes together. It would have been nice to see Caceres make some more runs down the middle. He made one nice run that looked dangerous.

we dominated the statistics yet no goals its a real shame but oh well we are in the top 4 pretty much so i'm happy

I'll get the sheep shaggers out of the way first. They are a woeful team and were again today. I don't care whether you play them home or away, decent teams should get three points. I know it's early doors, but they are pathetic. Their loss against the barrel boys last round was the worst performance in the HAL since NZ Knights in V1 and 2.

We were the better side today and should have won. Moss kept them in the match with some teriffic saves. We should have put one of those chances away.

Hutch had a clear cut penalty denied. However, I don't ever want to see him or any other Mariner cheat like he did with that dive in the box. I hope Lawrie gives it to him big time over that. It made me cringe. Leave the diving to sack wacker, Brosque and the Italians.

I am sure we'll see a big improvement against the tards and we'll hand them their first loss.

Good result. Dominated the midfield, solid at the back. Given that Vukovic, Heffernan, Gumprecht, Owens, McAllister, Mrdja and Elrich were all unavailable it speaks volumes for the depth of the squad. Not many teams in the A League could lose that many quality players and have no dimunition in performance. Jedinak absolute class in midfield and Bojic already shaping up as the signing of the season.

You must be easily pleased. Very boring and terrible game to watch imo.

i doubt that gumprecht and owens would be first 11 material at the moment, and mrdja is fully fit and available, is he not? on present performances i'd be picking osman over a fit (such as he was) elrich too, and it's not like bozza was a weakness in goal.

bojic would be picked ahead of heffernan as a left back, there's only the question of whether you'd then flick bojic to the right in clarke's place and play heff on the left - at the moment i'd prefer clarke.

so in my view basically we were short one striking option. we had some gilt-edged opportunities and lucked out, i'm not too stressed by that, though between glenn moss, clint bolton and ante covic we seem susceptible to being beaten by a keeper playing out of his skin...

I agree both Bojic and Clarke do more than an adequate jobs dibo. Heff will most likely favour his injured leg when he comes back anyway as will Gumpy. Once they are back though, the depth we have will be pretty solid.

Yeah man ping pong is differnet game all together I thought. Ok to clear it from the back when  under pressure, but damn, get it down and pass it round is a much better for attacking play. Better to watch too!

one player who was guilty of playing way too many long balls was Bojic. Whilst Wellington, fark me, couldnt string 2 passes together without resorting to hoofing it upfield
