WHAT A GAME!! It's been such a long off season...

Bozza was brilliant (you couldn't have written a better script)......  Big Dylan -  supreme, Bradley Porter, come on down....

After Bozza's performance, when Danny got the nod, he laughed and said to the bench, you watch, I'll probably let in 3!!!

When Boz came off, I said "give us a smile Bozza"

Good way to start the pre season at home. Looks as though we will have some depth this season with still one or two to come.
Same can not be said for Sydney who will struggle this season without their complete line up.

Bozza you are a legend.
People do not get too used to this guy because he is way too good to spend any length of time in the A-league. Depending on what he wants from the rest of his life, maybe one season here then off to an o/s club to finish what he started all those years ago.

Also, great crowd for a PSC game.

Cracking performances all round from the boys.
Bozz had great game and the penalty save was fairy tale stuff.
I thought Porter was our MoM he and Hutch did really well in the centre and after today's performance he looks like he is going to be pushing the rest of the midfield for a starting spot.
Dylan looks a lot old and wiser than when I last saw him play Spirit I think he is going to lead the line well this season and if Nik can stay fit we are going to look very strong up front.
The Covites waving the white powder as Bozza was very funny and well done for joining in the standing ovation when he went off.
Really looking forward to the start of the season proper and finally getting over the disappointment of the GF.

Pure class...

This from the sydney forum, where there are quotes such as Bozza was well worth the price of admission alone, and hailing him as awesome...

Some nice spirit shown by the cove boys.

And here's a direct quote from when he went over to the cove before half time...

Bosnich also came and shouted

"thanks for coming guys. I have an attendance bonus in my contract"

Yeah hard to like, but was heavily anticipated so not too much sting for my mind... and I think many of our guys would give it back if the tables were turned... Not that it makes it likable as Danny lovers... but I say we just follow in the foot steps of the almighty Bozza, if you can get 50 bags of pretend coke held up to you as a former ridiculed coke addict and just laugh and banter happily back... thats a pretty damn good way to be.

Wow I enjoyed that game today. SFC are in trouble for depth. McCallister, Porter, looked the goods. Who was our player wearing the No. 26 with no name on it? Dapuzzo was no. 24

Another thing I got out of today's game is that Lawrie has finally mastered the "F" word, the past two seasons it has been 'F O O K E N' today it was a definate FFFFUUUCCCKKK.  Good on ya Gaffa!!!

You may not have seen this from Bay 16, but I was in Bay 11 and I swear this is true.

When the Marinators were giving it to Bolton after he let in the third goal, Bolton, facing away from the Marinators, raised one arm in the air and held a finger from his other hand under his nose.  That is, he was emulating the infamous Mark Bosnich Hitler salute v Spurs all those years ago.

Did anyone else notice this?

Hope it's on camera somewhere!

Actually, we did see him make the gesture because Serious screamed at him. From behind, certainly, but it was obvious.

Well here it is... I, the Razorback stand corrected. There you go!!!

Wasn't it great today, can't believe how well he played. The reflex save off his legs i the second half sold me more than anything else. Truely was an amazing afternoon. I will say however Corica's penalty strike was very poor and I think most keepers would have saved it if they guessyed correctly. ( I can see everyone's jaws dropping)

Taking nothing away from him tho, he was fantastic and I humblie eat my words!!!! I hope you all are smiling or laughing at that, but it doesn't... great to some depth in the squad haha. the question now is who starts when the season kicks off???

While I'm eating my words we better throw Porter in the mix as well. He ran the Mid field and if he didn't score tht statement would not change. Definately out of position at RB. Important that he builds some consistency now.

Everyone played well today, and I thought Bojic was great at the back. If he isn't signed yet they better hurry up. Looks very solid and extremely quick!!!! Something our backs need.

So there you go Marinators Humble pie has well and truely been served and eaten!!!!!!!!

Oh and by the way, the Marinators sounded great from where I was in Bay 11! You managed to keep it going right throughout the match, and there seemed to be some new tunes in there.

There weren't many quiet bits today, but whenever I did get to hear the Cove, it was purely negative stuff like 'Sasho's A Wanker' and 'You're Not Going To Beijing'. Nothing positive, nothing clever. They might as well join the Squadron.
