ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Be silly not to given Ross was a flop and evidenced he never wanted to be here.. but is in the wings a double entendre?? Cos I'd like a 10 not a winger.
Haha. From what ive heard its a like for like & not a #10.... Dunno if it will come off or what we need but guess we will find out in Jan if true!

Looks like he will be.
He never truly wanted to be here, it was extremely obvious after the 2nd round. 1st round seemed like a tactic for him not to work defensively but he did not care one bit. Forced to be here, probably thought he’d bag more goals and would be a walk in the park.
The coach said you can play #10 as we already have Mat Simon. He laughed and went home

Berisha of a few years ago might have made enough of his own chances to work for us but not now. He’ll be a waste of money and doesn’t address our biggest problems. Seems more likely city would get him anyway.

Then who should get the credit then @style_cafe ?? :-|

It was Zwaanswijk and Wilko who should really get all the credit for helping Sainsbury to become the player he is imo

Sainsbury`s football career started way before he reached the Mariner`s.
I think if we are going to credit anyone it should first start with the player.
Trent had a tremendous desire to play football and has trained endlessly prior to coming to the coast.
First for himself, his local junior teams and coaches all of whom deserve some amount of credit
Then there are his parents, who deserve a lot of the credit, for taking him to training, matches and into rep football.
A player of Trent`s calibre has to have the commitment and support of his whole family to achieve what he has.
Then as he got older his coaches at Perth Glory also helped him to develop and fed his hunger for football knowledge.
After Perth there was his 2 years at the AIS under Jan Versleijen, I think he could do with some credit too.
Once he came to the Mariner`s he was with the Youth team before coming into the First team, in that time he must have
learnt something to which some credit must be warranted.
Then there was Arnie... maybe he helped a little to develop him as a player? Surely he imparted some knowledge to which maybe some credit could be afforded?
Finally he joined Zwannswijk and Wilko who, no doubt helped him immensely, but to say they deserve "all the credit"
is just ridiculous imo.
