I don't think Fabio gels that well with anyone TBH. His first touch is always for himself and he mostly seems to play in team mates as a last resort. Classic example yesterday when he should have attempted to head the ball back across goal early in the game but he tried to bring it down to give himself a shooting possibility from an impossible angle. Don't get me wrong - he is a very good footballer but I would hate to be playing left or right back behind him.

Apart from his goal which was a tap in, I though Scott had a poor game. When he recieved the ball he lacked good decision making. Actually he most often failed to make a decision. Seemed really timid. Defending was poor also.

Yeah he had a bad game. He said afterwards when asked about scoring that he was of course glad to score but was unhappy with his performance and that he could have easily gifted them a goal. Which is a likeable trait.

This is the thing with young players that we should know now better than anyone - they are all inconsistent and make mistakes. But by my reckoning he's had one poor game with a goal, one mediocre game and the rest have ranged from good to excellent.

Wombat, coach didn't criticise a couple of Galloway defensive aspects, he absolutely derided his signing and the club/Okon for doing it. Was sprouting total nonsense about his playing history and how terrible he is. This was palpably untrue, and was proven so with just his very first appearance. One poor game doesn't change that.

Coach = Neil's grandad is my theory.

I've never really loved him in the side Fabio that is. He is a good footballer. He is skillful. But he was trialled by us a long time ago and there was something that was seen which stopped us from signing him.

I think we'd be a more rounded side if his wage was spent elsewhere like cb and we brought in the next Buhagier

FP.....i call each game as i see it. One week you are the best the next you may be the worst.
Clearly Galloway is better than Mickey (who is a lovely person and i wish he was killing it) but the bling game he played like a rookie.
I've seen Roux play far far worse at RB and still start the next week. Its up to Paul to show him (and ascroft and McGing) the Video and explain the mistakes.
Its a simple game if play it right.

Facundo trained with the youth boys today. Apparently gave a good account of himself, and not afraid to put himself about for a smaller bloke. Looking forward to see what he can do with the first team.

I know you do mate. And I actually agree with all your match report and thought Galloway was awful. As did Galloway. Just fund it bizarre that you felt a bad game vindicated Coach at all - who went all in on Galloway and the club over a total load of BS. There was no genuine insight on Galloway's ability offered. Just a nasty and jaded rant. Should have been good news and clearly our season would be a lot darker if we didn't sign him. Settled very quickly, even made a decent fist of RB for a lefty, and we would have been even more screwed having lost Posc, Faty, and Adelson if he couldn't cover. Then he's switched sides again, different FB next to him, partnered with fab for the first time I think it was, team is jittery and he has his first shocker. In no way does this vindicate Coach's assessment of rubbish player/signing.

I'm all for conflicting opinions, if you remember I even stuck up for coach when he first came here and accused everyone of being koolaide drinkers and of having no idea etc... but it was when he tried to present some 'facts' imo very disingenuously to support him thoroughly bad mouthing a new young player, that he clearly had no true idea about and therefore deserved to be given a hard time. Happy to move on, but not happy doing history revisions unless Galloway plays like that for another 8 weeks.

Interesting. I know some were worried about wasting a Visa spot unless he's fantastic, but we'd only ink a short term deal till the end of season in any case wouldn't we?

As stated last week....I have a big rap on the kid.
But after that game I can see what Coach was gibbering about.
Having said that I think Coach has trained Neill so had a reason to slag the signing of Galloway.
For me he has been head and shoulders above Neill.
A bad game.....let's move on.....and a credit to him that he knows it.

I don't think it was what Coach was gibbering on about, was just the old ...a stopped clock is right twice a day for mine... but yeah agree, lets move on.

But to what, how many times can you say... please add an experienced CB and a 10?

Wow......who thought we would be saying that after last season.
Massive credit to Izzo.

I truly hope we can say the same about a couple more players next year.

I guess it is what happens with a young squad and makes me realise there are good judges in the club who can see potential.

An interesting and bright journey ahead.

According to David Davutovic on the Fox website we are Chasing Daniel De Silva.

http://www.foxsports.com.au/footbal...w/news-story/b8f1feac281a7a7d07b68a507a220d85

"Paul Okon is chasing his former Young Socceroos protégés, including Daniel De Silva."

Then again, they're also saying that Tommy Oar's goal on the weekend sparked the interest from overseas clubs - that they were talking about at the start of the game.
And that Trent Buhagiar is off-contract... So I'm thinking whoever wrote this hasn't done an immense amount of actual research ;)

He said o, takes a while for stuff to get to Sydney about Trent. Agh, bullshit just a lazy journo.
Also said Gincarlo or what ever his name is, we might be interested. Think JP mentioned him previously.
Also said DeSilva wants to stay O/s but is likely to go to Perth only due to Loan.
When someone says Trents off contract in there article I'm convinced they don't know that much but at least we are looking.

Many times in the past, journos simply copied rumours from fan message boards. The only one worth feeding is Ray Gatt (loyal member just quietly)

He's been starting most weeks for Torquay United in the Conference (5th division England), Torquay sit 17th only five points away from the relegation spots. Seems well liked by fans and has got a few man of the match awards. Been following him on Twitter so been vaguely keeping an eye on him.
