ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

he seems to be offside too many timesWe should consider Archie Thompson. I realise he is old but still scored 11 goals this year and said today he may have to leave Victory. He would be a great asset to help train and mentor the kids.

If that what it takes to score as many goals as he does, them I'm cool with ithe seems to be offside too many times

MONTY?I was just thinking the other day.....spending time online and you hear a bit about what players other people think are the best players in the league, especially at the attacking end of the field (and goalkeeping, for that matter). It occurred to me that we don't really have anybody who the general HAL supporters would consider one of the top in the league, especially at the attacking end. And maybe my memory's failing me, but it's been a while since we had that. Ibini maybe? And that was back when he was still bloody lazy. Simon hasn't been that for a good few years. It says something about our recruitment, but watching teams like Melbourne Victory play, with a number of players who would at least be up for consideration of any HAL XI team, and we just seem to lack that 'elite player' factor.
It's a worry, and I hope next year we're not going to suffer too much from the bad recruitment decisions that lead into this year (or if Charlesworth is actually going to do the right thing and stay the f*** out of the way of recruitment)
This is a pure gold piece of terminology @dibo. Very apt of all of us at times. Well said.inside the yellow echo chamber
Archie? No brainer if we could get him. Still scores goals for fun and would be like a marquee for us. I think he would thrive on been the main man here and mentoring some young guys. Also would have a point to prove that he isn't yet over the hill.We should consider Archie Thompson. I'd take Thompson over McBreen tbh.
If MC wants to spend the funds Archie could be our Aussie marquee. He's well known and a proven scorer.
I think he'd put bums on seats and entertain. Probably end up a crowd favourite.
Yes, but he's been on-side at least 11 times this year. I can live with a guy who gets offside a lot but still scores in double figures.he seems to be offside too many times
