ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Warshawsky Theo Steeley all got starts too, the rest were the regulars
Bullshit.

DeLima, Brandtman, eames, Wilson, Noah, Sciluna, Diesel, Paull, Williams and R. Smith ? are hardly the usual. Do you work for the ABC?

I was only talking about the starting 11, outside of what was already mentioned about Paull and diesel starting, i know the bench was full of kids that did get game time

Hey Wombat, do you own an eponymous number plate? And were you semi-parked with reverse lights on for a while on Monday afternoon opposite the golf course?

3 man midfield.

Looks like 30mins for Steele and Theo so must he early in there recovery and not playing too long.

6 goals is still a worry no matter who
Played and SFC still give us fits pressing by the sound it.

SFC will belt some teams this year with this strike force

Which golf course?

The answer is no. I'm not even driving a flash car these days so the 007 number plates are not a go.

Wouldn't be seen dead in a Citroen.....my car has Seoul.
Gosford. I was briefly parked behind a big white car with the plates WOM84T and I wondered if it was you.

On the friendly - we ran out a team of youth and those freshly returning from injury. Jacko was clearly throwing them into the forge to step up and test who is where. Obviously the goal was to build our depth up (and what that depth should look like) rather than looking for a win.

It would have been a massive learning game with very different measures of success to the score.

Our coaches are smart operators. They did this intentionally and would have learnt what they needed to from it. As would have the players.

Not worried about the scoreline. We'll be competitive this season, just not as confident as to whether that will be in the first handful of games or not, or whether it will come later.

That said we were much more cohesive in that first AFC game than I've ever seen us at this time of the season so I think we can knock over a number of teams early in the ALeague season still.

Paull, Herrington and Warshawsky are clearly not ALeague material yet.
That's a bit harsh. You can only really judge them properly if there's a bit of an experienced and functional core around them. Two young CBs with limited time together and a young keeper behind them is always going to be a bad time. No way Triantis has the season he did without Kaltak beside him.

That said we've seen enough of Paull to say he's probably not it. I have more hope for Herrington if he has Kaltak or Sains beside him. Seems a bit like we threw the boys in the deep end against a full strength Sydney side. Not ideal but hopefully Jackson got something out of it.

I totally agree, I'd much rather be experimenting preseason. We've had seasons where we won all the preseason games then got spanked when the league games started. Don't need to be giving them intel on our best team setup.
