ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Haine Eames apprenticeship just got promoted from sweeping up the dirt too on the tools

Good luck to the kid. This is why you come to the Mariners because we will trust in you. Needs to bulk up but I can see the promise that had a few clubs chasing him

How old were Harry Kewell or Bresch when they made their debut in NSL.
Genuine question
Harry never played in the NSL. He went to Leeds as a 15yo. His Dad is English and i believed he stayed with family over there.
He played for Leeds Youth and broke into the first team at 17yo. He was a prodigious talent.

Bresciano played for Carlton at 17yo. More of a slow burner but he ended playing 250 odd Serie A games (after originally going to Serie B) ...no mean feat for an Aussie.

I've no idea how insurance money works, but surely 12 Months of Tapps salary, 6 months of Miggsys salary and 4 months of Trent salary is a decent chunk of cash?

But you also need free agents that are available and that can hit the ground running. How long will it take to get them on board, gel with the team, make a decent contribution vs when will MDP and Trent be back. Tappy obviously a longer term. Window opening in January may give us more options.

Why does the club love waiting so long before announcing injuries? They never even really explained Theo. I know of at least one more unannounced injury they haven't mentioned too.

This is because the clubs don't have to report on injuries, the extent of them, recovery details, likelihood of a return date etc, as in other leagues - or at least other codes in Australia. So then they consider this information a national secret that must be as closely guarded as possible.

It's more relevant to the gambling overlords in NRL.

Yellow cards isn't contingent upon which players take the field 🤷🏻‍♂️

In all seriousness.. how low can we go here?

Zero disrespect to Noah Smith, Will Wilson etc but it’s pretty safe to say they aren’t making the team sheet by choice. For whatever reason, they were not favoured. Jacko is running out of men.

Who else is behind them, given we are dropping like flies?

Who else is injured that we don’t know about?

Where can we draw from outside of the NPL season?

DeLima & Duarte are the ones that have that bit of quality next in line, but I think Duarte is the injured one not named and maybe Delima is as well as I though we would see his name on the sheet for some minutes?

My understanding, due for an update, is that De Lima is close, maybe a couple of weeks away.
Duarte (ankle) probably the rest of the year. Could be ready to return similar time to Sains in January.

As with all things injury these are timelines and may change or be inaccurate.

Also heard that they were now considering up to 2 injury replacements, but have no idea if that means from the academy, NPL, loans, or from where, or for how long, or even if it will definitely actually happen. Word is that it's on the cards though.

That's horribly unlucky both for the club and him personally with Kuol and Edmo out of form. Felt like there was a real chance to stake his claim.

New S&C guy looking worse as the injury count rises. Can't all be him but its not a good look after how well we carried last season. Still not as criminal as whatever is going on at City though.
