ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think there are a small minority here who are good judges of prospective quality players. Welcome to the club.
Too many jump to early conclusions and harp on that’s for sure. Could never understand the negativity towards Urena, what was said about Doka early this season was also very poor.

I haven’t given up on Paull and next season he will have an opportunity to step up with Hall moving on. I just think the fullback experiment has been tried and failed so no need to go there again.

Fullback is a very different position to centre half, only a few can handle both. When Dan was tried there it caused much grief.
The biggest problem with jumping to early conclusions about new players from overseas is that the A league is a very different competition to what many have played and it takes time to fit in to a new team and environment as well. A lot of the players we bring in are young with identified talent who have not clicked elsewhere.
Early in their time here you have to look for what skills they bring and be patient for the time it takes to fit into the team.
I am sure there will be a lot to be patient with next year.

Leaving on a transfer with fee I totally expected. Being able to leave for free seems like some horrible business for us. Should have sold him in Jan if that was the case.

Would we have gotten 2 million for him? There is more to the player being in a team than the selling fee.

I wasn't expecting him to stay. Very hot and cold player.

We all expect a massive rebuild next season. Hoping Jacko has the connections and nous to recruit as well as we need

I would prefer Majekedounmi from Perth, very impressive for such a young player
Given our NPL side is pretty young I'm not sure we will see anyone new from there (apart from people we have already seen - happy if anyone can correct me). I'd be real happy to target a number of young players

Mauragis
Majekodunmi
Bennie
Goodwin
Waddingham

I assume the Barcellos loan will finish up and Torres looks like he is going. So I'd like to target another visa CB and a visa AM/CS.

Then throw in a couple of 23-30 y.o. Aussie players for experience - CM/AM and LW.

I’d bring back Windust for sure when Hall goes.He proved himself quite capable and with a full preseason he’d be good value…

Looks like Lucas Mauragis from Newcastle will be brought in to replace Faz at LB. Highly rated 22 yr old. Will be a good pickup.
Wouldn't mind getting Natta also to replace Dan.
I’d be okay with that, even though he’s a scummer he’s actually a quality young player, a slightly more technical FB than Fazz.
