Did anyone imagine he would actually see out his contract?!?! He was chased hard in the off-season and we worked hard to get a 2 year contract in front of him - surely that was always for the transfer fee?!?

No but I think most of us expected more than this. Supposedly we’ve offered him a very generous wage. Considering we aren’t crowing about the fee it’s probably not 7 figures so what we’ve gone through all that to make a few hundred grand?

I get it that he might not want to say record fee because then we’ll expect a decent incoming player but at the same time anything less than a very good fee is selling our season for cents on the dollar. The pauper ‘but we’re not doing as well as it seems’ doesn’t fly mid season.

Also the other codes stars are always playing in oz because of the comps being the best so people have favourite players in those codes.
