ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

That's peanuts to NUFC but life-changing for any of us.

I reckon in two years, if he's still at NUFC, he'll be pushing 100k per week. If he's not at NUFC he'll be somewhere like Barcelona.

But, erm... I don't want to overhype him...

The most important part of the whole transfer is where he’s going to be loaned to in January. It has to be to a league/team that will play him a lot without pressure or burn him out. Ideally for us and I believe for him, they should loan him back to us until the end of the season.
Realistically because of the visa issues, he’s 12-18months away from legally even being able to play a competitive game for Newcastle.

(Unless he goes to the World Cup and plays in all 3 games taking him above the 75% ratio of senior national team games required to get his UK visa)

I think it's almost certain this will happen, but I still think they'll loan him out in Europe... unless he goes totally berserk in Qatar and the Geordies clamour for his immediate inclusion.

What they say is a good source in Newcastle have Garang on a plane for a medical. Monty said yesterday that Jason and Garang will return today.

Who knows?

The transfer that hadn't been confirmed and the whole story started with an article that the family claimed is made up?
I have no knowledge here but don't be stunned if the internet echo chamber is wrong.
This is of course correct.

There are a lot of different sources though claiming it's happening.

Such a shame that we may not get to enjoy watching him showcase his talents here for a little longer but I would ask how a transfer is possible outside of a recognised window?

Echo chamber. Same rumour repeated over and over. Then it trends and gets picked up as fact.
That's why the internet is just shit as a source of credible news. Especially about football.
Who was the player that was linked to us by fans and YA and was total bollocks just to see how far the rumour went? Picked up by at least one site IIRC

It's happened on here a few times too - someone says something, maybe tongue in cheek, maybe stirring the pot, maybe just asking a question. Then someone else blows up about it as if it's happening - then everyone goes nuts.
