ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

If you play 4 2 2 2 where does a #10 play?
You could just not play that bloody formation. Didn’t do us many favours last season. With the midfield being relatively well stocked between Bouman, DDS, Nisbet, Stensness and Olly why not a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1?

Unrelated but this might be us?
33-year-old All Whites striker Jeremy Brockie will be training with a NSW-based A-League club this week (it isn't Wellington Phoenix). [@ByPhillipRollo]

Which club could it be?

He`s being registered with Weston in the Newcastle comp currently..https://www.maitlandmercury.com.au/story/6908035/weston-bears-working-to-bring-in-international-striker-for-cameo/

My Nix contact tells me he is talking with both the Jets and the Mariners. He is also still in the running for a Nix contract depending on whether they land an international striker or not.

He has been OS for 5 years without securing an abundance of game time. His stats in the A league are not too bad though. 127 games 39 goals and 13 assists. In the A league as a CF though it is 40 games for 20 goals and 8 assists. His record is quite similar to McBreen's. Daniel did a job for us as an older striker. I would not write him off - but we would need to be sure he is physically and mentally right since his last few seasons has seen him struggle for game time.

Bouman looks an interesting signing, thought he interviewed well.

We're still a long wY short of attracting fans back with the squad as it is and apparently no sale on the horizon. Still 8 weeks or so to go i guess.

Staj appears to be the drawcard for these recent players, at least we finally seem to have a decent coach again.

Coast local Matt Hatch signs scholarship with the Mariners

Emerging youth fullback Matt Hatch has signed a scholarship deal with the Mariners, with the born and bred Coast product set to get his A-League shot at 20 years old.

Blessed with electric pace and with great passing, Hatch has spent the past two A-League pre-seasons working with the senior side but after a brilliant NPL2 campaign this season has been rewarded.

Hatch came off the bench in the NPL2 final early in October, playing a key role in a more advanced position than normal as he struck twice in extra-time to help Nick Montgomery’s side to the Championship.

The opportunity is a dream come true for Hatch, who began his football journey with the Woy Woy Roosters, before joining Kincumber and eventually the Central Coast FC representative program which would feed into the Mariners Academy.

Now the former Asian Champions League ball boy will have his chance as part of Alen Stajcic’s squad for the A-League 2020/21 season.

“It really is a dream come true for me, I used to go to all the games, I was a ball boy,” Hatch said.

“I’ve always wanted to play for the Mariners, because they are my hometown team and it’s just an unreal feeling to be here now.”

“I had a few cracks in pre-seasons, and last years was a real eye opener for me to think that I could actually have a chance at a contract.”

“It showed me where I could be if I put my head down and worked hard so I used this past NYL and NPL season to really give it a crack and I’m pleased that I’m getting rewarded for all the hard work I’ve put in."

MARINERS MEMBERSHIPS GO ON SALE AT 12PM MONDAY!

Mariners A-League Head Coach Alen Stajcic welcomed Hatch aboard and said it was great to see a local talent coming through.

“Hatchy is a local product, born here on the Coast and he’s come through our youth teams in the last few years,” Stajcic said.

“We’re excited to have him onboard, and we know he has talent and some attributes in his arsenal that have been so effective for him at youth level.”

“The task for him now is working hard to transfer those skills and adapt to the professional level to become an effective A-League footballer.”

I'm looking forward to seeing more from a player many on here rate. Another attacking LB option should keep Clisby on his toes and we can get Hatch ready to take over in a future season (or sooner if he has a bad stint).

Thinking about it more I wonder if a 3-5-2 would suit us with something like
-------------------Birraz-------------------
------Ziggy ------New------Rowles
Miller-----------------------------Clisby
------Nisbet-----Olly---Stensness
------------Bouman----New---------------

Bouman to play slightly behind a new striker. DDS could easily be in the mix for the middle 3.
We dont have any wingers signed but perhaps have two that could play the wingback role.
