ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Some further comments on twitter saying he has an Australian passport so maybe not a visa player. I thought their backup last year was passable as an understudy, depending what this other bloke is worth it seems like it might be a bit of a waste.

Born in NZ and been in England from a young age. Probably an Aussie parent.

It does say there he had NZ and UK citizenship.
But as Turbo says at least one person on twitter says he can get an Aussie passport.
And a Kiwi journalist says expect him to sign with Roar soon.
Still a strange move, unless Roar are moving Young on.
Sounds like Young is going to be named captain... so this kiwi bloke will be riding the pine.

Fowler is definitely doing things differently with his recruitment, will be interesting to see if he succeeds and influences future visa signings or if he’s underestimated the league and lacks the class visa signings are typically used to provide.

TWG reporting Sydney FC have beaten us to Teague. Pushed through his re-signing when they heard we were keen.

Bugger. Conned by Corica.

I really see a big future for you here..,

Which may occur after he fails to get game time, moves somewhere else, proves himself and comes back.

Sydney also lost out on landing Brattan at the last minute which might have had them scrambling and looking at their depth while they work out their visa options. There’s still the possibility O’Neill gets his European move too.
It’s unlikely they’ll give someone so young much time in the season proper but he might still play a role in their preseason preparation and FFA cup campaign.

Update: and now Brattan’s move has fallen through so Sydney might be on the table again.

Technically there is one Balkan striker I’m aware of who wouldn’t need a visa slot and who would be interested in playing in the A league. But I can’t see us paying what he would want and he’s probably not worth that much these days.
