we did allow CCL a free header in the 6 yard box very early on from a free kick.

Could it be counterproductive if the opposition is of a very low standard?

I think its partly to try and get the brand out there perhaps?  I agree that if the opposition is poor, it serves little more purpose then a run around for the players

Is definately the case. Before all games the players will be signing autographs and being in photos etc.

I see Perth Glory have arranged pre-season games against Premier League outfits Fulham and Wolves.Any ideas who the Mariners may match themselves up against?
Possibly Farnham or Woking from the English non-league.

The Observer has reported today that NQ Fury will play the Mariners in a pre-season friendly in Gladstone on June 7

"It will also be a historic day for the club, in their inaugural year, when they face the Mariners in the pre-season clash.

It will be first time we play another A League side, so it will be a landmark day for the club, he said.

Probably find that we'll play a game in Mackay on the friday as well, as the furries seem to be playing the Rocky team. Pity it is a sunday, afternoon of Football in Central Qld is fun.

A few Sydney based youth players are trialling with CCM today/tonight

Dont know if they are going to be part of the Spirit game but 1 has had 3 offers from SFC so far and is continuing to negotiate. He comes from Liverpool, is a bling fan so we would do well to get him. 18yo and playing NSWPL

If osman, mrdja and rizzo played for the youth(I'm assuming they didn't play the first half), could that be a sign that mrdja and rizzo will be shown the door?? Considering osman is already gone and they weren't considered for the 1st half?
