ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Centre of Excellence is GO!

Foxsports FC just showed some sequences from the presentation we saw at the club and gave the Mariners FC a big wrap. They're pretty excited about it, even going to the extent of saying that overseas clubs could be coming to Australia soon to see how to run a football club.

Also, I spoke to Lyall and he said that once the Centre is completed those that buy a season membership for the Mariners will get "special benefits".

Free Gym factilities - then I would actually consider going to a gym!!

The Foxsports version only lasted a minute which means they cut out at least a few minutes more footage including the view of the new club/conference facility showing the two storey high player photos on the Western end window.

Foxsports mentioned the grandstand was a 5000 seater.

The 3D presentation got a run on SBS news at 6;30 last night. Foster was presenting the sports and did a voiceover as some of the 3D footage ran. The building looks almost 4 storeys high. There was a small stand for one playing field.

When they cut back to Foster, he had that evil smirk on his face, and I was thinking maybe he was having thoughts of one R.Wilson racing to her keyboard to bash up some more anti-Football along the lines of "They are invading RL Heartland!". Certainly I did. Looks impressive and probably unmatched by any NRL team, Rebecca, so get that up ya!

TBH, the member "benefits" at the moment are marketing noise and amount to 3/5 of f**k all really.

When the club development is complete, there is scope for combined club/CCM memberships that actually bestow genuine benefits.

discounted drinks would be a start :)

I like this part:

"Our national youth league team and Westfield women's team will play competition games at the boutique stadium," Turnbull said.

Hoping this boutique stadium has a bar in it. :eek:verhead:

The whole project is about developing revenue streams so it would be stupid not to!

Depends how many they think will come to the games and weather it is worth staffing a bar area.

Having not seen any of the proposed plans or the fly through presentation, it may come down to how close it is to the club building, very close and we may have to walk into the club to get a beer.

Wondering if this ground is going to be based on the Belconnen ground?
