ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Abroad

Leeds is what I could see, all rumours at this stage and I didn’t delve too deep into it. Something that popped up in my news feed

you think any "Mariners" abroad would actually lay claim to being a Mariner at the moment

I thought we lost that when he signed a new deal - this isnt the contract he had when we sold him. Happy to be corrected though
I believe it's in contractual perpetuity, forfeited only by free agency. Can be a negotiated pay out too.
Would guess it's a % of profit too.
Dunno how much his transfer fee was.

Strong word is that the clause expired when he signed a new contract. I would’ve thought otherwise, but people higher than me in the football world have said it’s gone.

Currently reading "The Football Agent: The most hilarious, absurd, revealing and personal book about football you'll ever read" by Knut Hoibraaten, Bjorn Hope, Jannikke Berger, Louise Raw. Found this passage about DMac and his time in Norway.

"The thing is that Brann, and probably many other clubs as well, have a rite of passage for the new players of the year that night. The new players get notice a few days in advance to prepare a performance of their own. It’s up to them what they want to do. The hope is that they make an idiot of themselves in front of the rest of the team. The new players due for their baptism by fire that night, were Petter Vaagan Moen, the great talent from the club Hamarkameratene who Brann handed out a million plus euros for, Janez Zavrl, the defender from the Slovenian club NK Domžale, Dylan MacAllister, forward from Australia and last, but not least, Migen Memelli.

The tanned surfer dude from Australia, Dylan MacAllister, was a very different story. He was going to do some sort of parlour game, and he needed an assistant. After a little back and forth, the players managed to drive Bekim up on the stage, somewhat reluctantly. He is chubby, but also looks strangely athletic. He is also shiny bald, and his face has a fierce expression in default mode. During the week, the players had got to know him as a fun guy who often made them laugh, so it was with love that they pushed him up on stage. Dylan tied a blindfold over his eyes and told him to lie down on his back. It was a guessing game for the senses. First, he had to taste something and tell us what it was. Simple. It was a piece of mandarin. Then he should listen, and tell us what he thought he heard. Again simple. It was Dylan snapping his fingers. So far, pretty lame, but the final act was yet to come. His was going to test his sense of smell too. Dylan pulled down his pants and boxers, and sat down straddling with his anus just above the Albanian’s nose while he held his finger over his mouth to signal that everyone had to keep their mouth shut. Smothered chuckles could be heard, otherwise it was quiet. – Bekim, what do you smell? A few seconds passed, before Bekim lifted his arm up towards his head. It stopped against Dylan’s underwear-tan-line pale ass. He jerked his torso, lifted his head straight up into the Aussie’s perineum, and slapped his face against his manhood before he managed to manoeuvre himself free. He ripped off his blindfold and got up quickly. Everyone screamed with laughter. But my friend from the Balkans was furious. His eyes went black and he scolded Dylan like hell. This was below his dignity. Being an adaptable person though, and with the audience laughing hysterically, he turned the table and laughed with them, although with a false laughter. He came over to me and hissed into my ear that this was f**king not okay, that grown men shouldn’t do things like this to each other. For someone born and raised in Communist and closed off Albania, this was even more offensive than it would be for the rest of us."

Nothing to say Southampton won't come in with 12-15 mill and have him. Hopefully we've still got 15% on profit.....
However I don't think the EPL is a suitable league for Tommy. He just doesn't have the engine. Italy would be better.
