ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

On point with Xavi, if you look at Sofascore, Torres was our best player week in and out in the first few rounds.

Then look at Niz. Completely under rated by whatever stats Sofascore and fantasy league want. Easily our most important player IMO.
Not Niz he's rubbish, we probably won't even renew him. Definitely not worth anyone else signing him. Too short, lazy, can't pass, can't tackle. Probably our worst player, you'd be better off taking Wilson as a 10.

Forget about it, it's just a souless stadium with the Peats Ferry Bridge photoshopped in the background

Even the stadium itself doesnt look better. Ours is well behind more modern & expensive stadiums like Commbank but the one in the pic looks pretty meh to me. Even googled subaru park to confirm it wasnt just a poor pic.

I’ve been interested in seeing what our crowd numbers used to look like as I’ve forgotten and it’s interesting. As we all know we peaked in 2007/08 having the highest crowd number than any other season in every category I’ve listed below, and our lowest were in the COVID years. In this table, I have not included home games played outside of Gosford, or any finals matches, just regular season A-League Men’s games. I was shocked when I checked the numbers for the first 2 seasons of when we came good as at the time it felt like we were getting much bigger numbers than that. If we exclude the three seasons interrupted by COVID, we would have an average of 8579, to be fair though, if COVID never happened we still wouldn't have gotten great numbers. This year if results continue to go our way, I can see us averaging 8k crowds by the season's end, as right now we are on a tolerable 7202 average.

the killer for this year will be the scheduling, the newcastle change at short notice had a double negative impact on the numbers, first, the short notice killed the clubs chances to promote it, and second, it turned 2 league games and an AFC game at home to 4 League and 1 AFC Cup game in a row, it was always going to drag our numbers down.
The February SFC-PPC-WSW over 8 days is gunna be a killer also. Why the SFC game couldn't have been rescheduled is anyone's guess.

I thought we'd played a few seasons in a row at Bruce stadium. Obviously a memory glitch.
