Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. A better headline for the article would be "Former fan favourite makes pitch to be a future Sheffield United manager".

There is a link in the article to another article from last year. It does seem that Monty is using old relationships with local journalists to take both the club and everyone in Sheffield along on his coaching journey and make sure everyone his in no doubt about his achievements, philosophy, development mindset and ability to deliver on a shoestring.

Not a dig at him by the way, in fact the opposite, it is smart work from him making sure the seeds of his return are well and truly planted with both the owners and the fans.

I like the fact this article is pointing out the ordinary officials and a rugby league law. Cop that APL.

I would be disappointed if he went to India, not because I begrudge him the money, but if he leaves for OS I sill think he adds a different option for the Socceroos and I feel he will do his NT chances no good in India. Maybe a stint in the MLS While GA took him to the cup he unfortunately...

You can't deny it though, as with many organisations not just football and I've seen it in companies I've worked at. Takes a long time to build a good strong culture and it can be ruined in under 6 months.

We have the processes in place however just look back at the Academy and their start to the season to see how fragile that process is.
