ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

Geeze he reminds me of all the best players I grew up with the fell out of love with the game around 18-19. Quiet, not very well spoken publicly. But so f**king good at football. I reckon he’s quietly chuffed he listened to Monty and came back. Massive future for the kid. Honestly a Socceroo in the next 3-4 years imo
A really good example of a kid that needs to stay for a few years, like Kye.

I remember catching up with Monty at the end of season before last and him saying Jacob had decided to drop to NPL and was working with his dad to make a crust and how genuinely gutted I was.

It was therefore a huge surprise to see him back in the NPL side at the start of the following season, so thank goodness the club stayed in touch and were able to persuade him to re-sign.

Jacob is a very quiet lad, who isn’t looking for stardom or adulation, so is something of a rare breed in that he is just an honest down to earth kid who likes playing football. Hopefully being that grounded will allow him to make the best decisions for his playing career and I for one wish him the very best in wherever that takes him.

Decent article on Monty...

"The list goes on – academy players developed by Monty stepping up to the big stage, already steeped in his football philosophy and systems. Max Balard, Harry Steele, Cy Goddard, Matt Hatch, Harry Macarthy, Cameron Windust, Damian Tsekenis… all have played some part this year and all are testament to Monty’s ability to spot and coach a young player."

apparently we're claiming Goddard as an academy product ????
