ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Perhaps he didn't get a contract because the club was paying for a washed-up sprinter with the first touch of a brick who went back to the states to do modelling immediately after the two friendlies?
I could forgive the poor first touch and hope he improved a bit technically in his time here. What really gets to me about the whole thing is him showing up and not looking fit enough for football at this level. The man has the resources and time to turn up in great shape but looks gassed 10 minutes in to a game against a local all stars team never mind A league opposition. If he really wanted to make a go of it he wouldnt have treated it like all age preseason.
He just had to be barely passable as a sub in the train wreck that was last season and people still would have tuned in and turned up to see him.A LOT of polishing would have been required
TBH he could have been the target man a la Matty Simon. He was already taller than anyone and had a great vertical leap. Teach him to head the ball and even our wayward crosses could have come into play
This. THAT is inexcusable.I could forgive the poor first touch and hope he improved a bit technically in his time here.
