ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

Take a look at this laughable drivel. Classic Channel Nine.

Perhaps he didn't get a contract because the club was paying for a washed-up sprinter with the first touch of a brick who went back to the states to do modelling immediately after the two friendlies?

A lot of people have asked me why we didn't sign Bolt, and the answer is incredibly straight forward. He didn't care and he was going to cost far too much. Perhaps he would've brought crowds to games but it's hard as a member of club staff to predict whether or not the club would have made money on merchandise and ticket sales to outweigh his salary. The concept had some life to it but in general, his head wasn't in it.

Disgusting though that Channel Nine is now bringing this up two years after it happened, more disappointing due to the fact that the club is going through a crisis. Find your clicks through something more meaningful rather than something that happened 24 months ago.

Moral of the story is the major Australian journalism outlets are mostly a pack of toothless morons and it's in a state of disrepair, but that's an argument for another day.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
The only f**king thing we got out of that Bolt game at BT was it was nizzy off the bench debut ...I think

I could forgive the poor first touch and hope he improved a bit technically in his time here. What really gets to me about the whole thing is him showing up and not looking fit enough for football at this level. The man has the resources and time to turn up in great shape but looks gassed 10 minutes in to a game against a local all stars team never mind A league opposition. If he really wanted to make a go of it he wouldnt have treated it like all age preseason.

TBH he could have been the target man a la Matty Simon. He was already taller than anyone and had a great vertical leap. Teach him to head the ball and even our wayward crosses could have come into play ;)

Nup. He could not head the ball any better than a 7yo. Also there was a reason he sweated like a racehorse.

Great gimmick. Shit player. When the Mariners knock you back you are toast!

This. THAT is inexcusable.
If he actually wanted it, he would have hired a trainer and spent weeks conditioning himself. You'd think somebody like him would have done that.
Instead he thought he could rock up having done nothing. Says it was a dream? If it was he would've given it his best shot.

I've literally played with AA9 players who prepare more for a season than he seems to have prepared for his shot at his 'dream'.

On reddit we're trying to work out what game this is. We think it might be 1 dec 2018 - rd 6 vs SFC, with that dickhead on crutches.
