ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

As someone who is occasionally known to sing "Everywhere we go", yeah, people are getting sick of it to a certain extent.

I agree that we should have a stack of new chants.

Here's a tip; Yellowbeard has an inbuilt foghorn. The man is seriously loud. Get him singing chants, and they WILL be heard.

I'd like to start a Mariners version of "Join in the Chorus", as used by North Melbourne AFC, but it's probably too long.

Just start 'em in the Kendall and take it from there.

Is "Who do we sing for? We sing for Mariners" off the agenda?

I'm not sure about the who do we sing for one....

"who do we sing for" will only work when we have a good new microphone, and when we figure out something better to chant in between the word part. And when people do it 6-7-8 time, not twice and stop.

we're already working on some things, and tomorrow arvo's a great time to try things out. a core group of us who will likely form the basis of the loudest voices in the bay will have a chance to belt new material out.

you've also got to be willing to make a dick of yourself if necessary to get a new song going. as those who were at christie park can attest, a few of us spent much of the second half making shit up as we went and seeing if it could float, and i was dickheaded on several occasions. such is life, and we had a ball.

there are some youtube things going around on here as well that just need some tweaking and polishing and they're good to go - keensy in particular has been a machine at trying to find new things.

most of all, we've got to actually want to try new things and learn new things. let's give some new things a go.

agree with Dibo wholeheartedly on this one, some have got to be prepared to go out on a limb sometimes. Some chants will work and others won't but they have at least got to be tried.

Lets try not to be too harsh ridiculing those new chants that are tried out even if they're shit. Nothing wrong with giving it a bit of "on your own, on your own, on your own..." when a shit one is sung though. ;)

That could work well, fairly simple, effective, catchy and could go for a long time.
Would take fairly good leadership and quite possibly the megaphone.
Oh.. and flares..
