ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I was fortunate enough to see the last howler of Kwasniks in the yellow and blue.
Vs Lightning, perfect ball into the box from Lobby, sitting on the 6 yard box with no keeper to beat. Kwasnik .... OVERRRRRR!!!!!!!

who will be on the front of the donkey shirt this year?!

. would have thought sasho

You have to be in the position to have a shot before you can miss, so that rules old man Sash out ;D

I've seen the shirt for this year and it's Sasho in his underpants, all players have a profile picture, it says BANG on the back as that's his saying when he scores at training

R15 vs SFC (equalising at 4-4, should have saved a point, got sent off trying to save the point at the other end)

Yeh, and after Kwassie scored that goal, wasn't he the one who hurriedly picked up the ball and ran back to half way so the game could start again as quickly as possible, only to see SFC score the winner in the dying moments? :(

. yeah but it sounds like lawrie has been kicked in the guts over this one

. it has been reported before that kwasi was his pet project since kwasi was a kid. so it would be a bit like adopting a child, bringing them up and then when they find out their birth parents are loaded they bugger off

.... or maybe it is nothing like that - kwasi has done what he thought was best for him

it was probably what was best for kwassie...

Lawrie signing elrich and caceres as well as da'puzzo, i'm pretty sure we have the wings covered

If Kwassie broke a handshake agreement on a new contract, he can get f**ked.

I may be a bit old fashioned when it comes to this sort of stuff, but a handshake is your honour and word and to back out of that is not on. Especially for a few extra bucks and a team that has buckleys of winning anything.

Now I was no great fan of Kwasnik, I have seen 12 year olds who could read a game better (I am sure Mori would have something to say about frustration of playing with him given the number of heated conversations they appeared to have) but he certainly had heart and always put in a 100% effort so wish him all the best.

I also think that Lawrie is not only building a squad for the A-League though but one for the Asian Champions League.  I certainly think the style and formation we can play with Caceras, Elrich, Macallister will be more suited to that.  Matt Simon can only benefit from Olyroo's involvement and with Sasha and hopefully Myrja back on the park I think Kwasnik would have been a bench player for us.

Kwas was brought to the club as a striker. He showed that he couln't hit a barn door with a banjo and was moved onto the wing where his speed and skill was useful.
He played some good games at times but the reality is he was an average player.
I wish him luck because he played with guts and tried hard but i'm pretty sure that both Caceras and Elrich will prove to be superior players.
I also think Matt Simon will score at least 5 goals this season.
