ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Would a Dinamo/Mutineers game to raise some money be out of the question? Possibly once the normal season is over, as to give people a rest? Or, could be played on a Saturday? Any thoughts on this one...I am not too sure what will happen (are make-up games played for wash outs?) so not really sure when would be a good time.

Ok, new details just in!

There must be 6 players on the field (including at least 2 females at
all times). The pitch is half the size of a normal football field.

A information pack has also been sent but wont open on webmail at work, so more to come. Any more females keen to play?

More info :)

What:
UNICEF Kick for Kids is a corporate 6-a-side soccer tournament.  Teams can:

  • Battle it out for the honour of displaying a Ken Done painted soccer ball trophy for one year at your office

    Enjoy a catered BBQ Lunch

Win great prizes in the raffle

Bring a team to enter the cheerleading competition (lulz)

Cheer on the Celebrity vs Senior Executives exhibition match during lunch time

Team requirements:
  • Each team must consist of a minimum of six and maximum of ten players.

Teams are encouraged to have a mix of male and female players, with a minimum of two females on the pitch at any one time

Teams members are to wear the same uniform. This can be branded with your companys logo (but doesnt need to be). Football boots (with non-metal studs) and shin pads are compulsory. [note: I am working on having these donated...and printed for free...so if you know of any businesses etc willing to make a donation in order to have their logo on our shirts...let me know! Also, if your playing...if you want a name/number...let me know so I can have this organised for you!!]

Teams are requested to arrive at least 30 mins prior to the game, and ensure they have ample time to warm up

Teams will appoint a captain who will represent the team

A playing schedule will be provided one week prior to the event

Date: Friday 23 October 2009
Location:         Birchgrove Oval, Birchgrove
(Wet weather option: Robyn Webster Sports Centre, Tempe)
Time: 10am 4.

Its a 6 a side game, with 13 minutes halves and 4 minute half time intervals.

Goal keeper is required to wear a differant coloured shirt.

Scoring allowed from anywhere on the field.

Off side rule does not apply.

Should two teams end up with equal points after the round-robin then
goal difference will be calculated and the team with the best record will take the better position on the table. For draws in the final series a drop-off system will apply. Teams are to drop a player off every minute. A minimum of two players (one from each team) left on the field until a goal is scored.

Subs can be made at any time without notifying the ref, unless you are changing keeper.

Slide tackles are not permitted and players are encouraged to stay on
their feet. (lollerskates....)
Players may receive a yellow card for their first slide tackle and will be sent off for their second slide tackle.

Will be looking into holding a Fundraising Night, most likely a trivia night of sorts...and would love if anyone wants to help out, just shoot me through a message/email/facebook etc :)

Sorry I don't have wheels to get out there. I might have to wait until I get back from Pt Douglas at the end of july to go to the coast and pick some up.
