I have to have an untrasound on my leg tomorrow. Doc thinks I may have a blood clot...

Thanks mate, unfortunately the news isn't good and I have a 6cm blood clot in my leg. It's currently sitting just at the top of my calf muscle. I have started taking Warfarin (rat poison) as well as having injections of it to try and disolve the clot before it moves to my lungs.

Sorry Pokey, but I too will not be able to play the charity match.

Not good news especially as you cannot have any alcohol on warfarin.

Yea Mick, I'm not too impressed as you can guess. I just want to get back and play football mate. The doc said I can have a drink, but not to indulge myself on alcohol. Will double check with her that I can at least one drink, when I go for my 2nd injection or rat poison today

Will have to wait and see about this...they're being a little bit unrealistic with time restraints and don't seem to want to budge on dates to get the money in...sigh. Keep you posted.

Unfortunatley, due to none of the businesses responding to our sponsorship idea, we wont be able to go ahead. We still needed just under $4000, and by 5pm tomorrow. I have spoken to the organizers though, and told them we'd still love to donate what we have so far to their cause. They are happy to give us  quite a few entries into a fund raising competition they are holding, in which you can win flights, and entry to Tim Cahill's corporate box to see Everton take on Liverpool. More details on all of that later.
