ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

yea...i'm devo I chose ps3 end of 2009.
I still maintain ps3 is the better console (slightly), but this Foxtel deal (along with Kinnect for the younger ones) seems to sway the balance towards Xbox!
I wonder how long this is exclusive for?
1 year or 2?

But you have to stream it which will result in MB usage and if it is a decent quality then your looking at maybe 700MB or so per game. Then there will be the regular FOXTEL subscription fees. If you cant afford FOXTEL then this is not going to be a cheaper option but a more expensive one with limited channels to view.

PS3 still streets ahead. Besides you can watch ABC and Chanel 7 on the PS3 :p

its only $20/mth...thats cheaper than $44 (+ installation?) (+ additional $16 for sports channels).
So $20 vs $60?

And with online streaming from myp2p...doesn't that get used anyway???
All I want is football matches

lol, I watch quite alot 7+ and ABC shows on my ps3!

The sports pack is also extra on the xbox. $10.

So it $30 dollars a month plus your data plus your xbox live subscription. Its also about 1/4 the amount of channels.

1 football game at low quality is 720MB. If you watch all A-League games plus 1 EPL game thats 17 GB a month without watching any TV at all. If you pump up to medium quality that jumps to 26 GB. High quality 39 GB without watching any TV. Thats just 12 hrs a week.

A FOXTEL susbscription costs $60 and you can get the instalation for free at certian times of the year.

As for streaming on myp2p thats very low quality and would not be a great deal of data.

Being overseas, I found Bet 365 a fantastic resource. It would do all sport that I wanted to watch in Aus. (because it is a legal stream you can't view it in Australia)

Then the pricks decided that rather than having an account to watch games (free), you now need a 'funded account' (involves registering credit card etc.) I find Justin.tv can throw up some good streams but I often get frozen out of them.

I've used most of the above to good effect. But sometimes when they are down, I've used SopCast: http://www.sopcast.org/, and Vurund.net: http://www.vurund.net/football.php

I often stream it to my PS3.
