I hope that your outrage is proportionally multiplied and directed at communities where men treat women as chattels and assaults are are regular occurrences.

According to Marcia Langton on the ABC show The Conversation, women in aboriginal communities are more than THIRTY FOUR TIMES, more likely to he hospitalised due to domestic violence. There is no excuse [although some may try] to justify this atrocious treatment of women.

The oppression and control of women in muslim communities is also problematic.

I am not telling you what to feel or comment on. I expressed hope that you are not selective in your condemnation, nor blind to high levels of abuse prevalent in other communities.

Examples?
I intervened when my sister-in-law was being abused by her [white] partner.
I intervened when a neighbour was being abused by her [part-aboriginal] partner.
I intervened when a stranger at a bus stop was being assaulted by someone close to her.
