ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Was at the match today and have to say was impressed with Heffernan. Can't have been easy for him, everything new, cold enough to freeze a penguins privates and he really did his job. Swapped my Californian white for an Aussie white tonite in tribute and you may have just become my 2nd team in South Africa in June.

Good stuff!!
Think he will very likely continue to do well for you guys.

As to Mr Crowell setting it all up....

Well f**k you very much ;)

Interestingly Huddersfield Town beat Stockport 6-0 away yesterday but Heff was neither in the team nor on the bench. Huddersfield have qualified for the League One promotion play-offs.

HTFC - Heffernan disappointed at Socceroo snub
Huddersfield Town defender Dean Heffernan has missed out on a place in Australia's World Cup squad

The 29 year old left back, nicknamed 'sonic' Joined Town from A-League side Central Coast Mariners in January in a bid to gain his place in the World Cup squad.

The left-back has lost his place recently in the Town starting XI and following Tuesday's announcement of Australia's World Cup squad Dean Heffernan had this to say to the Huddersfield Examiner:-

'Missing out is a major disappointment, especially at this stage of my career, but I've done everything possible to get there, so I have to take it on the chin,'

'I'm lucky in the sense that I've played for my country, and I won't give up on trying to win back my place in the squad.

'In the meantime, I'll be rooting for the boys who are going to South Africa, but before that, the play-offs are very much my priority.

'After missing the last four games, I've got my work cut out to get back in, but I'm working flat out on the training ground, and believe me, the chance of playing at Wembley is a big incentive for everyone.'

Obviously a disappointment for Heffernan, but he will be giving his all for Town in what looks like his final few appearances if selected!
