Nope... but improving. Not a starter anyway and porter broke down that right side from RB more than osman. Happened last as well against mvfc, one wonders if it is strategical from Lawrie's part

Cant argue with a 4-1 win, we totally pwnd them 1st half and then played the game out.

Redders - He is a great prospect and we should have no worries about him next week

Porter - Starting to grow up at this level.

Boogs- so dependable you forget he is there most of the time

Wilko - still not brilliant, Dadi pwnd him 1st half

Bojic - V good footballer, pick up of the season so far in the HAL IMHO

Ossie - getting back to fitness, looked much better tonight. Quality goal too

Jedi - Unbelievable how good this guy is. MOM for me by miles and what a free kick!!!!!!!

Hutcho - Too defensive tonight, always looks to hold up play.Looked better when he swapped with Caceres.

Caceres - Quality performance, Clarkie is obviously getting him fot enough to be a 90 minute player. Looked great in CM - top finish for his goal.

Saso - Was his usually reliable self - stupid yellow though.

Matt S - Shame he didnt score but was a great link man tonight roving across the front line.

Subs: Clarkie - Usual Mr reliable
Dylan - Unfit by the look of it.

So where the f**k was Mrdja this week, didnt get a run with the kids and not even on the bench tonight??

Greenpole! I was waiting for your SCG review because I was going to agree with all of it! Then this!!

Lovely to get 3 points - and at home. Appeared as much to do with Glory's shiteness because I felt overall that we played better last week and even in the game we lost to Sydney.

Sorry to be greedy, but I wanted another goal to break our record score.

I agree Jedi was immense thoughout. Wonderful FK. Flesh wound should be pretty right next week. Great contribution by Pedj especially as he's still only weeks out of NSWPL. Congats to Redders for his unexpected involvement.

The Bay put in a HUGE effort tonight. Considering there were only 8K there, the Bay was certainly punching above it's weight. Loud, clear and continuous. The jumping towards the end of the game was visually impressive. Bay 15... well, I guess there are internal problems there as GP alluded to earlier.

Also, if Redmayne couldn't perform after the rousing support he received from the Bay when he came on, then he never will. Fortunately for all concerned, he did a good job.

Hutcho... decision making seemed slow to me. VERY lucky to get that free kick in the 1st half. A little embarrassing really.

Bosnich injured as Mariners crush Glory
By Joe O'Shea

Central Coast delivered its fans a keenly-awaited first home victory of the season with a 4-1 thumping of struggling Perth in Friday night's round six A-League clash at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford.

A dominant first-half performance from the Mariners lifted them to a commanding 3-0 lead at half-time, and they were never really threatened in the second stanza by a Glory outfit that struggled for potency up forward.

But the win came at a cost for the Mariners, with stand-in goalkeeper Mark Bosnich forced to leave the field in just the seventh minute with a torn hamstring.

With regular keeper Danny Vukovic sheduled to return from suspension in two weeks, Bosnich may have played his last game for the club

Adrian Caceres provided the spark for the Central Coast in the opening half, setting up Sasho Petrovski's opening goal inside 10 minutes with a precise through ball and getting on the board with a score of his own five minutes from the break that extended the lead to three goals.

Matthew Osman scored the Mariners' only goal of the second half to seal the result, which was tempered only by the loss of Bosnich.

A brilliant set-piece goal by Mile Jedinak punctuated the efforts of Petrovski and Caceres in the first half, the striker curling a free kick from 30 yards into the top right-hand corner of the net past Glory keeper Jason Petkovic.

The win moves the Mariners up to third on the competition ladder, and captain Alex Wilkinson said after the game it was a relief to finally get a result at home, particularly after two draws in as many weeks against Wellington and Melbourne.

"We were under a bit of pressure to get a result tonight after a couple of draws," he told Fox Sports.

"We think we should have won the last couple of weeks, so tonight was great to get that hoodoo off our back and get our first home win.

"The first half we played some very good football, the second half was pretty scrappy but we were already up 3-0.

"It's good to see the ball going in the back of the net, and it wasn't just the strikers, the midfielders were contributing and that makes for a great team."

Despite the comprehensive victory, Wilkinson said the side could improve on its second-half performance.

"The second half they came out and had nothing to lose, they caused us a few problems," he said.

"We were very disappointed that we gave away the goal and gave them a sniff, but it worked out well in the end."

Bosnich injury

Despite the authority of its performance in the opening 45 minutes, Central Coast suffered a cruel blow with the injury to Bosnich, once the world's highest-paid shot-stopper after stints with Manchester United and Chelsea.

Filling in for the suspended Vukovic, Bosnich tore his hamstring when kicking the ball downfield and was immediately replaced by Andrew Redmayne.

Jedinak also left the field in the second half after drawing blood in a nasty collision when contesting a header.

After a scoreless first period, Perth finally got on the scoresheet in the 63rd minute through Nikita Rukavytsya, who knocked in a grounded cross from Wayne Srhoj past Redmayne.

But any thoughts the Glory entertained of engineering an unlikely comeback were quickly snuffed out when Osman slotted Central Coast's fourth goal of the match, drilling a low kick under Petkovic after receiving a neat one-two ball from Matt Simon inside the box.

Amazing what happens when the ball stays on the ground.  ;)

Definite improvement on last week, but to be honest, Perth were _poor_.  And I mean a whole new level of shite - that was embarassing...... as I was discussing with a few of the lads post game, they will be lucky to survive beyond the license renewal process at the end of next season.  They're past the point of no return with regards to on and off field shitness.  A damn shame.  Time for a "West Coast United" perhaps??

If Jedi isn't snapped up during the January window, then he will definitely be gone at the end of the season.  I'd like to think he stays around for ACL group stages at least.....

Zomg, Car-Chair-Arse, I love you.  Excellent goal off the wrong foot, AND a badge kiss.

Wilko........... mate, sorry, but you gotta be benched.  Not the same player you used to be, need the confidence/form back - Boogs can't cover for you forever.

The 1-2 4th goal between Simon and Osman was awesome! Being an Ossie supporter I was stoked to see him slot one in. Would also be great to see Clarky hit the back of the net.

Perth may want to scrap out a draw, but we're still pissed from last week's draw and will stick it to Perth good.

Perhaps an optomistic prediction, but not too far off in the end :)

Yes, Osman does seem to be improving. And my daughter Olivia reckons he is hot so apparently he has to be in the run on side from now on :)

Incidentally, Olivia and a couple of her friends have joined the Marinators in the last couple of matches and I know she sings, dances and claps 'cos i taught her to do that ;D

haha, egg on the faces for the osman knockers

was brilliant last night

No egg here mick... still very ordinary on the ball and gave up possession a few times by being pushed of the ball agian and again and against very ordinary opposition mind you.

Worked well for his goal but I still feel he is a backup RB at best. Porter did more running down that right side from RB than he did last night.

You really have to take into account the opposition that he faces before you make comments like that.

The best i've heard the bay in a long while. Well done you proved you don't need a roof overhead to get some noise happening.

With Pim looking on last night it would have to be guaranteed Mile gets a call up.

Have to keep Ossie. With a goal under his belt lets see if his confidence grows now because he certainly still has the ability.

Anyone that says that the Marinators did not contribute LOUDLY last night is either deaf or a complete idiot (yes, complete idiot. And you know who you are). The noise was just great to listen to, drums were very clear.

Was not pleasant watching from home, really missed being there. Saw Yoda & Fish in the Bay, so I know that the ugly male quotient was normal.

Good result against a very poor team. We were good, not great, probably played to their level a  bit.

Jedinak, Caceres and Osman all scored very good goals. Young Zac was most impressed when I pointed out that Caceres scored with his non-dominant foot.

There was a post earlier that all of the yellow cards were unwarranted. Rubbish. Have a look at Mile's yellow in replay, THAT WAS a card, full stop.

Onwards to Hindmarsh. Safe travel to all of our crew heading to the City of Churches.
