Front of the Bay

Front v back stuff is obviously not a good thing.
To be honest however, everyone around me was actually looking across and  saying... What are the people at the back doing? Why is there a big gap between them...

Question, why does everyone arrive so late? It looks like the emptiest bay of the lot till 2 minutes before kick off?

Walk in parade with decent chanting 20 mins before kickoff would rock the joint.

Kudos to Keensy for taking up the capo duties (even if he did sound like Cookie Monster by the end of it!). It was also heartening to see how many people were at the front when the game started, and how many more were there by the end of the match. As I said to the bloke standing next to me "I think the sleeping giant has finally awoken!".

If we can get 80% of our travelling support at the front of our bay when we play the Scum in a couple of weeks, with the same vigour, flair and noise we displayed today, it could be very embarrassing for the home supporters!

ps well done craig and front of bay, but i dont think it deserves either front or back of bay blasting each other. front of bay was brilliant. back of bay was quiet but joined in when called on. johnno can go eat a dick.

Front of the bay was excellent. What drugs were you on? Imagine having 5 times that number. Well lead by Craig and others. Middle and back of the bay played their part too, but in a smaller more spasmodic way. I actually liked the interchange chants between parts of the bay - worked well.

The front v back chants were awesome. When the question and answer finished and all sung as one the noise above was unbelievable. Quite a few people were amazed that a guy would pay to go to the game and then stand with his back to the action for 90% and lead the supporters in chants. Nearlly all supporters from 40 - 48 would know Craigs face as the guy who leads the Marinators.

As for that mega song the high pitched notes are annoying, i dont know how anyone next to it can stand it.

Fantastic effort from the little crew at the front led brilliantly by the geezer on the megaphone.

That was top support and probably the first time I've been impressed by our fans at a home game in the last 2 years.

I loved the chant between the front and the back...that was awesome.  If that level of support continues there won't be any gap between the front and back as bay23 will be full.

There seamed to be alot of faces missing from the back or were they at Bathurst or something?

Watched the game at home. First half...sounded brilliant. The group down the front did not stop jumping. Andy Harper even commented on it...great work! Don't know who was leading it (from the looks of this thread it was Craig), but it was amazing. Didn't hear much in the second half though.

And to those who are bitching about the people in the back? f**k off. Seriously. Let them stand wherever the f**k they wanna stand. How about we just try and not act like dicks and entice new supporters etc to try and fill the gap and make a FULL bay? And yes. I'm in a cranky mood. Am allowed to be.

And saying those who want to sing "shit chants" aren't welcome? Yeah, that is SO going to entice people to join in...omg.

To be fair, those guys around trumpetboy who insist on starting their own chants (or worse, the dreaded "lets go") are starting to get really annoying

Has anyone commented on the complete and utter f**k up by the matchday staff yet?

We negotiated with the club that Bay 23 was members only/reserved and they decided to allow people to sit there without bothering to check any tickets.

Indeed, the imbecile on duty when we got there to find our seats taken claimed not to know that it was reserved!!!

Sure enough, despite our suggestions, they did nothing, people came in 10 minutes before kick off and away it went with hard feelings all around.

This is not the fault of the poor families who chose to sit there and got moved, they did nothing wrong. No one told them they couldnt sit there. However, they were majorly pissed off when having tickets checked/told to move etc and eventually the Police had to calm a couple down.

Top work from Aub to get security to actually do the job they are paid for but he should never have had to.

This isnt a fail by CCM unless they didnt bother to tell the security/stewards that it is reserved seating.

Members still getting the best ride huh?

With low crowds and BT staff not giving a flying, you wonder why people bother.

I was sitting in bay 34, so as it goes, you cant get much further from you guys. (The marinators) and from where I was sitting, you all sounded Awesome.

In relation to the front vs. back arguments, as I dont sit with you guys Im not going to sling shit at either group, BUT, would it be so bad if the crowd at the back moved down a few rows so there wasnt such a void between the front and the back?
