ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Ah my member number falls within 341 + 15.

I am 365 have changed seats from my original but that is all that has changed.
I still have all the members cards from each season. They are beginning to encircle the original signed framed team picture we received as foundation members after season 1.

How slight? I think the first 15 were for the Board and the like. I think Mick is member 16?

Yep number 16.

I begged Ivan (membership manager at the time) for number one as I was first but he said the first fifteen were reserved for dignitaries and that he would give me sixteen for Bay 16.

. was this a platinum membership? because like pjennings we didn't receive them either (gold)

. i wouldn't read too much into the numbers - we were foundation members (456 & 457) ... we were a bit late signing up as we didn't realise the pre-season games were included in the membership. so paid individually for the cup challenge then the pre-season games before paying for the membership

. another point worthy of note ... i think season 1 was the only year 'membership' and 'season tickets' were separately available. i assume you are considered a foundation member even if you were not a season 1 'member'?

. as for the 'overdue' comments ... really? it hasn't even been 6 years! though some (and hopefully continued) recognition is certainly welcome

My view is that there should have been recognition for five year members last season, therefore it is a little overdue. Same as I think that people who have been members from season 2 onwards should be getting 5 year recognition this season.

. yeah fair enough

. s'pose i was coming from the 'how much do you want and how often' point of view

I don't need any such recognition. Would prefer they spend the money on player development or a business class flight for Kwassie next time we go to Perth.

Actually, it's my exact story too; except I don't play - would need to have "over 40's who have no skill or ability" (seriously) ....

Its called over 35 D's......... although u still get a few decent players sharking down there...some are very decent but have no legs anymore.

You should try it Bex.

Was that the game were the scummer broke his leg? I remember saying to my wife "if this mob want to succeed on the Coast then they better stop rolling around like girls whenever they get hit"... lol. I didn't know he had a broken leg. just goes to show what the stereotype was/is like.

Yep. Disco broke his leg. I was there also and i dont think most people realised how bad the imjury was.

The banter with the Scum fans was good that night....it was before they realised they were Pantomime villians and decided they needed to act like Bogan f**kwits each time we play them them.

My daughter Lowenna (379) and I (79) got our letters today. It looks like you had to be a member in Year 1 and in all years since (no matter what category).

Great initiative (but alas it is an on-field presentation and they want us miss 15 mins of the game lining up in the western warm up area. I may be tardy if it is a gripping game).

I may be tardy

. i may be making other arrangements ... from the upper east side we would be looking at missing half a half. other than the postponed jest match that will be the only football i have missed at the 'tongue

. the words on the letter indicate there will be a presentation ... and then you would move onto the field. presenting to 300 odd members would not be a quick process

. quick scan of the archives shows about 570 foundation members ... with what seems to be many families

. some interesting names on the list including ben coonan, ivan spyrdz and some bloke called lyall gorman ... wonder if he is still a member?

I was there too. Just clarifying - there were two discos from that game.

. any truth to the rumour that those that were at the game are entitled to another certificate to recognise the few that have seen nik play?
