ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Crawley would have been the difference. No way Matty could of slid one past him

See I don't know about that. we only saw Crawely in the a league for 5 games or something and two of them were against season 1 knights and glory all the other games he conceded goals. (yes goal keeping is a thankless job and it's the 4 in front of you that make or break you half the time)

Niether - it would be a 3 - 3 draw

Hal 1 defense a lot stronger Tommy & Grumps CM ...Hal 4 stronger up front Hutch & Jedi CM.

I think the defense of Hal 1 would win out over the attack in Hal 4, plus our center mids were more creative in Hal 1.

2 - 1 to the Hal 1 side.

Kareem, were you actually out of nappies when Hutch did his knee? A full reco resulted. He was almost our best scoring option in V1, and scored goals with both feet.

The critical point in your post is "not the Hutcho you know". As is customary, jeez, you don't know much.

I am honest enough to admit that John may not be as quick as he once was, but I would much rather him playing for us than against us.

Agree. He was on fire before the knee injury. I remember him in the sports bar when we were watching an away game, limping away, and then kwassie's knee got snapped, i chanced a look at hutcho, and you could tell he could feel it.

We had a few kneee troubles that year

I wouldn't call Pondeljak "world class"

Get out.

Oops, my mistake. Depends on what you quanitfy as "world class"- Pondeljak definitely fits the bill of a classical player in terms of skill. Maybe I was thinking more about level he played at so far since he hasn't been higher than NSL/A-League, but meh.

Didn't Hutcho come into the team in v1 and score like 8 from 8 games or something.

Leo Carle ?
I think he had a shot saved against Perth in the pouring rain, keeper saved but it fell to Spenny and he smashed it home.

One of the great A-League finishes, that goal.

that was the Debut of eggy at a professional sokka match how my opinions of the sport have changed since that day............in theroy life changing wonder what i'd be like if i wasnt following the mariners...

V1 defense imo looked alot better because it was against an inferior attack compared to what the v4 defenders are up against.
