ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

We also got good tix online Bay 6, normally in bay 7. Got them online - it was a bit of a lottery, it gave all sorts of weird spots before getting these. Best things is to get down to ticketek at bluetongue. I went down about 10am and got an extra ticket next to the ones we got online. Easy to pick what you want in person.

Are many going to Suncorp the week after ? I've looked online and the CCM supporters is in the crappiest spot hidden in the corner.

Is there another bay, placed a bit better that people are going to try and fill with a bit of yellow ?

Mine sorted - both games

Will be down from the heights of Bay 40 to the ambience of Bay 7 due to my impatience to wait for a real person on the phone (after the voice-rec silliness) so resorted to net booking pot-luck.

Going to the Brisbane game. Bay 315 is not the best spot for some atmosphere. Anyone else looking at 311 behind the goals?

What a horrible experience it was just trying to get my usual seats. Or, in fact, any seat other than that offered by either the internet or recorded system. If I was to ever turn into a terrorist, I would target the promoters and purchasers of voice activated phone systems. :redcard:

Got bay 302 behind the away bench at Suncorp, row 18. Great seats. Will make a big yellow noise of support for the boys on the bench. Hope some more CCM supporters get tix there.

IF...
I repeat
"IF" this occurs...

I promise that I will personally organise a protest on FFA headquarters, that would of course focus on drawing as much media attention as possible to the protest. I am not without resources and believe I could do a very able job FFA.

It would be very sad to play into the hands of the anti football media, however to move a GF against an out of state team would not be a fair or reasonable course of action and as such, like others have declared, I would fight it tooth and nail this time.

Moving the GF would not be merited, fair or necessary this time...

As mentioned, yes you could hike ticket sales, and we'd at least be saving on paying $20 a pop parking at SFS or coach ticket costs in any case, but there are other ways to raise money off an event like this which the FFA already fails to capitalise on imo.

If we were to have a GF at BT, they should fence off a giant screen area in the park opposite, charge an admission fee, with beer tents, food stalls, gimmicks, games, merchandise tents etc... live bands all day, and guest appearances by a celeb or two, the Mayor, Lawrie, Marvin, Arnie, possibly Wilko, and some former Mariner greats...

This is a chance for the FFA to have an incredible showcase event for the league that would ignite an entire region and create huge crowds regardless if not all of them would get to be able to be in the actual stadium.

This event should be seen as the opportunity that it is, and not be scrapped for what on one level it could not.

Those points aside, the desire to show respect to their fans and customers should in of itself be enough to keep the GF here if we get the hosting rights.

But it may not be. So let's see what happens.

Yeah I'll back u up on this one. Haven't been to a decent protest since the Frogs let off a few nukes in the pacific!.....this one is a more important issue but.

A little off-topic but I still have my "Nuclear free Pacific" T-shirt I bought in 1985  Arrogant French bastards :redcard:

Really???

Do you seriously think that we will be regularly attracting 20k+ per game? I dont... not in my lifetime. How many Sydney NRL teams average 20k+?

I would rather divert our resources into building a purpose built 15-18k football stadium. Plenty of atmoshpere and noise. There maybe a couple of blockbuster games where fans miss out, but you know what... if you're a season ticket holder, your seat is assured.

Smaller stadium = cheaper to build, more incentive to become a season ticket holder so as to reserve a seat (more revenue for the club), more atmosphere.

Unfortunately it will mean no gf but so be it.

The population of the Coast is expanding every day.
Ten years ago did you even think that the Central Coast would be represented in the National competition?

Building a new stadium is not going to happen overnight.
It took me 3 years of lobbying a local council to build 2 new fields when our club had expanded from 25 teams to 50 teams in 3 years!!

If we did lose the opportunity to host the GF again we should be using it as a tool to start the process for a new stadium on the Coast, not just for us but for everyone.

Bluetongue or Tuggerah would be our base but we wouldn`t lose the bigger games to Sydney.

A 40,000 seat stadium could host Football, League, union, cricket, concerts etc.(the motocross can go f**k themselves...lol)

It may take 10-15 years to become a reality but we have to start somewhere & by using the passion we have as a catalyst who knows what will happen.

Does anybody have contact details for the bigwigs at FFA. Email addresses or phone numbers of the likes of Lyall Gorman or Ben Buckley? Not just the standard email address that won't get read by the people you want to read it?

Got the tickets today.(I`m not a member)

Can someone please explain why the tickets I bought today were $8 cheaper each than the tickets I bought last Sunday . The seats are in the same bay & are only about 3m from where I usually sit?
(Not complaining just curious)

Also can I become a member without buying a season or block of tickets.I sometimes have to work weekends so buying on the day suits me.

I have emailed the club but have not had an answer.
