ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Can you kinda freeze a post under the meeting post and forum members could post question there .. I will attempt to go and can raise them as coming from forum members not able to attend.

Middy's going to take some questions for those of us who cannot attend. Post your questions here.

Ground rules - if you want them asked of the club, keep them concise, coherent and civil. Don't ask a fellow fan to get up and recite a dithering, demented or disrespectful question for you.

Pokes; if there are questions posted here that don't get asked, could we get some of them asked and answered through this forum?

If it works well, it could morph into some form of regular club Q&A on here (similar to the "Ask Tony P" section of the SFC fans' forum).

Fire away folks, but remember: concise, coherent and civil!

Can you please give us confirmation of the number of games (and location) that will be moved away from Central Coast Stadium and if so will there be a reduction in the membership package to account for less games on the Central Coast

Can you please advise the reason for this. Is it financial, expanding the support base, etc

I think that the FFA said no more than 2 home games per season

1. What in actual figures (Not %) are the cost savings from moving the games.

2. What was the profit/(Loss) from NSO.

3. Why are we told through media leaks which create histeria not a business plan from CCM.

4. What was the financial result for the Mariners in 2014. Did we make a profit, Break-even or Lose money & how much. If we loose money how long can those losses be sustained & through what avenue of funding (e.g. Charles dips into his pockets, cash reserves or FFA grant).

5. Does the FFA or CCM pay the players?
Does the FFA pay CCM in a one lump sum/monthly instalments & CCM pay the players or direct payments from FFA

6. How much does CC stadium cost to run each game - Rent + game day employees activities etc

7. Why so many financial questions - Because you are always broke

Hi Dibo,

I will most certainly take these questions to be answered that evening, however a lot of these questions we have looked to already answer in our presentations, Anything that isn't answered, I will put forward and get a response to you. I like the idea of an official Q&A section of the forum.

I think your questions maybe a little to specific and have little chance of being answered... I understand where your coming from but very much doubt anyone would provide these figures...

My summary if you like of how I put your questions would be ...

What crowd numbers do you need at Bluetounge to Break-even and what do you see as an average crowd to pay bills?

The NSO & BO matches ... what crowd numbers do you need to make these successful ?

How will moving the games save money ? or is an investment to grow BT crowds ?

Cheers BA ... what do you think...

I know what you are saying & agree to a point but if it's a stand up open mic question hard to be ignored however if it's a we have a bunch of questions here's the list then totally agree.

I will try to make it but no guarantees.

I suppose my thought process is be direct & get a direct answer (leave no room for wiggle & if they do you know they have something to hide E.g. not telling us NSO was financially successful & we made $1 profit you might say Mike is prepared to throw cash at something he hopes works instead of looking at the numbers & admitting it is not a financially better deal where he would then have to say it's because I want to etc).

No more I think the rents 7,500 no I heard 75,000 you know what I mean.

But I take the advice & agree more likely to be answered but maybe not the answer we want. Due to being privately owned I suppose it's a bit like asking your friends how much they earn. They don't want you to know as it may be more than you thought or less but basically it's private info for them not you. I understand that & it's not so much to bitch about either it would give us a base to work with.
Are we in real financial trouble or are things now better than ever without wondering if we are being spun BS.

They're trying to sell two messages at once:
  1. We're a club with growth potential, big future in front of us, you should get on board and become a member, become a sponsor, come for the ride
  2. We're a club with a basic structural issue that means that we have to broaden our outlook or we die
The messages are obviously contradictory.

How about these to get off the financial issues

1. Do any of our squad including juniors have clauses that tie them to graham arnold. E.g. A release clause in their contract that if GA isn't the coach they can leave or if he coaches elsewhere in Australia they can excute there release clause. A Darious Boyd/Wayne Bennet clause if you like.

2. Can SFC/GA buy McGlinchy off Velta or would we have to approve that. Do we get a say. If Velta put in an offer for McGlicnhy would we take it knowing it's probably a back door move by GA

3. Can we get a full bottle of sauce to throw at GA

SFC can't, at this stage, make a transfer offer for him as he's still under contract with us. As I understand it, currently no transfers between A-League clubs are allowed.

I think GA's would've severed ties with Vegalta considering the circumstances of his exit, so I'd doubt they'd purchase Wee-Mac from us on GA's behalf, only to see him be swooped on by SFC.

I am not a member; I dropped my membership when I came to live in the UK. However, I did receive an invitation to the forum which I appreciate. What I want to know is how come the club can be so pro-active with these invitations yet with the discussions regarding NSO/ Brookvale only contact a very small group of members for comment?

1. With community engagement at the forefront of the clubs focus moving forward, I am worried about the impact of the issues ( coaches , managers , uniforms etc ) with the junior sides on the parents and players. What are we going to do differently to engage these grassroots stakeholders as we move forward ?

2. Is there any truth to the rumour of overseas interest in buying into the club ?

The Russians are coming aren't they?

Maybe we should wear the Ukrainian kit - same colours and guaranteed to attract Russians.
