English teams eye Mariners star Ryan

No quotes in the article and this was news to the club. However, don't keep your hopes of holding on to him. I reckon he'll go, whether it's Hull, however, I don't know.

There's a comment on the CCM facebook page though, stating that yes, they do have an offer tabled from Hull, but it's a rather disappointing one... Much the same as Turnbull's comments on the articles.

Dunno much about the NYL team, sad-to-say, any chance of either Bradasevic or Turnbull being just a little bit Mattie-ish? Sad to say, I don't have a whole lot of confidence in Pasfield, not convinced he'll do much taking over as #1 :(
Would be happy to be proven wrong though (obviously) ;)

Mariners furious over Ryan story

Central Coast Mariners coach Graham Arnold says Football Federation Australia's decision to leak details of Mat Ryan's possible move to English second-tier football was totally wrong.
Arnold lashed out at the sport's national governing body on Saturday night after his side played a 2-2 draw with Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium.
Stories appeared in the press on Friday announcing Ryan - the Socceroos' No.2 goalkeeper behind Mark Schwarzer - had attracted interest from English second-tier club Hull City.
The story originally appeared on the FFA website, saying Hull City had made a lucrative offer to the 20-year-old Ryan.
"I was so disappointed the way that got leaked because it came from head office, FFA," Arnold fumed to reporters.
"I didn't know that was their job to leak those types of things. It's your jobs to find that out, not them.
"That can totally disrupt team harmony.
"When Matty turned up (on Friday) you've got 14 players asking: 'Are you leaving us? Are you leaving us?'
"The kid doesn't know anything about it. So for FFA to leak that the way they did, I think is totally wrong.
"What else are they going to leak? They know everything that's going on in the league every week so are they now going to start leaking other stuff?"
Arnold said it had been a really disruptive week for the team and supporters.
"If anything it should be an official statement to come out from the club if we receive an offer," he said.
"We've received a letter of interest for him to go for a trial. He's not going for a trial.
"So for them (FFA) to put that out is disappointing."
