There is no doubt that the whole vibe in CCS has been hugely impacted by the team’s fortunes over the past 5 or 6 seasons and that is totally understandable. Any team can have periods of difficulty on the pitch from time to time but we all know that CCM’s fortunes have been dictated by our owner’s overly-parsimonious approach to running the club and so that is hard to take for most fans.
I would agree with the comment that it is sometimes hard to hear what is being chanted/sung from Bay 16 but that’s not the fault of those individuals, as the lack of a roof in that area often means much of the sound just goes straight up or worse, backwards if the wind is from the south.
As much as I appreciate how hard active support is for those driving it every game day (especially given our club’s performances in recent times), I can still recall when YA were great fun to be around, especially at away games. Their chants were more often than not creative and funny and made you want to join in, even if you were personally normally of a more reserved nature.
I for one really hope that Staj can turn around the team’s fortunes on the field and restore some pride to our club and that will in turn hopefully lead to a re-engagement with all fans, active or otherwise.
