Not expecting this to be answered by the club rep/s - but probably just discussed by the pod crew.

The AFC qualifiers are later in the season and there is the possibility of some key players being missing at the pointy end of the season - depending on what Covid restrictions apply and with a possible Australian hub where HAL players may be easier to bring in.

With this in mind are we looking to strengthen certain areas amid recruitment for next season.

I suppose the concern is that the boys could do a great job throughout the season only to see the squad ravaged by Socceroo/ Olyroo / NZ team commitments around finals time.

This is now more of an issue. The hub will be Kuwait.

GA is saying he is taking 34 players to the matches that will take place from May 31 - June 15, 2021. Not sure when our finals will be but there is likely be a quarantine afterwards 14 days?).

GA says he will keep all the players for the whole tournament.

The extra 11 spots means some of our fringe chances may well be included including some Olyroos for the experience / camp.

Maybe they'll condense the season so it will finish before then?

So what would be wrong with the FFA applying to the Govt, (as soon as Arnie has picked the squad),and all players get emergency vaccinations.That way we protect Aussie players and when they come back they could be tested and cleared after a day or two in quarantine...

You’d imagine something similar is in the works for vaccines ahead of the Olympics so it shouldn’t be a case of football blazing it’s own path. May not remove the quarantine afterward part though. Even if they did or made it 5 days that’s still a lot of players to lose at that end of the season especially when almost half won’t make the Olympics squad.
