ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

How's the stadium deal going?
Is new funding for the club being sourced? Or is the club waiting and sitting on its hands?
Does the board still have grand plans for a precinct around the stadium?
Is the club still planning on have a member element to decision making? (Maybe its been said, I haven't seen anything of it for a while)
Would the club consider having 2 tiered membership? Eg ticketholder membership and ticketholder plus voting rights (or some such element to increase revenue from members and give them interest in the back of house)
What is the plan for player retention?
What is the plan for member retention?
Could the fans start a marquee fund and make a specific recommendation for a few players and provide funding towards that player?

Edit: thought of another.
In regards to funding, what if anything is known about the LFE and the Perth sale.

What is the vision for the youth setup and what priority is this to the club

Is promotion to NPL 1 seen as a priority?
If not why not?
If it is how do they plan to achieve it and what if it’s at the cost of the first team?

Previously we were very close to securing promotion and prioritised giving those kids first team game time and ruined the NPL team.

Do we have a plan in place if this arises again?
Who comes first, game time in the 1sts while the first team season is ruined or NPL 1 promotion

How important to recruitment is being in NPL 1. Do the fans rate it higher than the club.

Do potential junior recruits not choose us because of this.

SFC have managed to stay up. Do we think we could achieve that and what if anything would be done differently once in NPL1

What is the recruiting structure.

Who has final say on a player being signed?
Staj, Anton or Shaun

And what about at youth level?
Monty, Staj Anton or Shaun.

If possible and he plays the we all do as a commity thing can you pin him on who makes that final yes or no.

E.g. someone should have said no about signing Kennedy

Who decides the foreigners lengths of contracts.

Are we looking for 1+1 with option in our favor to get out if they are not good enough?

The league is notorious for foreigners taking a while to settle especially with summer comps and harder pitches.

Has there been feed back from foreigners on things we can improve on as a club and are they implemented or taken seriously

Hello fellow forumites.

We will be speaking with Co-Chairman Anton Tagliaferro tomorrow.

If you have anything you'd like to ask, please leave your questions here.
Please note that only sensible questions will be looked at, and we might not get around to asking every question.
Looking forward to this pod.
So many great questions and a great time for Anton to speak up

Good work lads. I think Anton will be better get than MC anyway

Can you ask if Anton reads the forum. It is a place to get some very valid information and ideas from the fans. Maybe Sean, who does, could edit and provide him with some of the relevant, better more useful posts.
A great way to stay in touch.

I hope you have Anton booked for a long while, preferably live. This is a vital topic and many valid points have been raised. Maybe cut down a bit on the rest of the program?
Really looking forward to this one.
Pretty sure they can cut Newcastle 1-1 WSW to save time we don’t need to know about that one

Who/what decides who deserves to be upgraded from a development contract to a professional deal?

What club affiliations are still standing and should we expect some activity to emerge from these next season?

How is club morale, given the current league form? are the players still optimistic and in good spirits?

What is being done in regards to the retention of key players? The constant churn of the squad from year to year doesn't lend itself well to consistency and stability.

I know Mike used to. His first question to me when I asked him was 'Are you Wombat?':)

What was the rationale behind signing Jair? His AL track record was awful yet we still went ahead and signed him. Friday night proved that recruitment is still not working at CCM - there are no AL strikers on the books. A fact blindingly obvious in pre season

Now we are hearing that we will lose Miller and Birra at the end of the season along with our international players leading to yet another complete rebuild

What will you do to stop the club slipping into the abyss? (or is it too late for that?)
