I don't know if a similar analysis has been done for the A-League
Defence and clean sheets are definitely important but even when you’re not scoring you still need to be making chances which we haven’t been doing a lot of or at least going long stretches without doing so. You can’t let the opposition get comfortable and bring their backs or key players in to the game more. Look at our game with the roar where taggart had a horrible conversion rate, they threatened and kept the pressure up. We did that under Okon for the first half of the season last year and had the 4th least goals conceded until late jan give or take a few games. Had we actually been able to finish at all we would have done much better.
