ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

We’ll recap Round 1, the derby that wasn’t, and we’ll be catching up with the founder of the CCM Supporters Trust, Mark Brogan!

He called us dogshit didn’t he? He wasn’t even remotely wrong though.
That's right, and he was bang on.

I know Macca personally and he was hurting as much as the rest of us fans during that period. He was angry at the way the club was being left to anchor to the spoon and the culture destroyed.

Macca is a Newcastle boy and I asked him pretty directly about his allegiance once. He told me that he supports both clubs, but that he will always back CCM over NU and that CCM is 'his' team. He said his time with us was a pretty special time in his heart and he loves the club.

As for the Supporters Trust. My understanding from what Mark was saying is that there are in effect 2 pots of money.
Pot A, I pay (say,) $500 to become a member of the cooperative and that pool of cash is used to buy an equity stake in CCM.
Then there is pot B where I pay (say) $200 a year and that money is used to support the running of the club.
If that's the deal shut up and take my money.
However, a fund with no ownership (however small) that just funds the club?
Tough sell and I wouldn't go near it.
Trust has to buy in as a part owner or it's just a crowd fund for the owners
