a third team is looking very likely

does any one want to put their hand up for looking after this team?

anyone else interested in playing?

Yeah Mick, going by my list if everyone turns up who has shown genuine interrest then we should have approx 23 players attending. No doubt there will be few that dont turn up for one reason or another though. So a couple extras would be great to ensure we get 24 players for 3 teams.

A manager for the 3rd team is most likely needed, is anyone keen?

I saw like 10 secs of one of your games this year Kareem, you were deep in your half with the ball trying to go forward, assumed mid/def..now that i think about it, you didn't get past the player that was pinning you down. :(
wat game out of curiosity (wat team playin- and roughly how long ago)
if you dont remember its ok im just curious
I've had crap season for 18s- way too many injuries- couldnt last more than 40 mins.
3 games this season injury free
lol looks like the Osman call i made is somewhat appropriate.

I would put my hand up for manager (I have managed 3 indoor teams in the past u14s, u17s at Kincumber- both won GF, and Mens Div1 at Woy Woy- 5th last year :( ) but its going to be 3rd div- maybe see after game, depends on standard and where every1 is allocated? if I am in div3 then fine

quick question
why 8 players per team???
that means 12.86 mins off for each player out of 30 mins?
almost half game? (assuming GK doesnt come off and 7 players interchange regularly)
just curious

to Herbs- who do u play for? Wyoming (only time Tuggerah have been after us). We were playin EGO.

wait I remember- Wyoming GK said hey to me and I was like (do i know him?). I got tackled- fouled IMO- the EGO no7 apologised to me even???
oh well- i dont get tackled much in my own half- dont risk it

Not 100% sure on the 8 player rule, but I think it ma be due to the pace of the game and in case players don't show, are injured or decide to drop out mid way through the comp for one reason or another.

but why not 7 (even 6?)- I mean we wont turn anyone away...but we are sayin we need 24 for 3 teams. I personally think we only need 18-21 for 3 teams- which should be happening for sure.
My old team had 6 and we did fine (+ couple friends filing in time to time)
I just was wondering because I was shcoked when I worked out how much time we all have to spend on bench!
I know indoor is fast paced but my team managed full games with only 5 players...

As Ted said, extra players are required if people can't make the game that night.  Whether it be due to work, or the time the game is played, family commitments etc.

There could be a week where you have 4 players unavailable.  Better to have a stacked team rather than having to forfeit.

We could probably get away with 3 teams of 7 and it would work fine. However teams Dinamo and Sparta would probably not be able to borrow from each other so both would draw from the 3rd div team if numbers ever fell short. The 3rd div team would most likely have to borrow from else if they were ever in need.

fair enough points but i still think 8 players is a bit ott personally- if team was ever down I got quite a few friends (enough to make my indoor team bar them being committed enough for season) that could fill in (just like indoor at Woy Woy last season).
But thats just my opinion and just wanted to find out a bit more

Obviously we are going to have our numbers pretty much finalised tomorro???
16= 2 teams
What about 17, 18, 19. etc.
At which point does it become from 2 teams to 3
IMO from peoples vibes
16, 17 = 2 teams
18+ = 3 teams
24+ IMO= 4 (but most people on here will go for 25+ most likely or something thereabouts)
if 18 i 2 teams- 9 in each which is extremely high!

At present count there are 21 players who have shown interest. I know of 2 that can't make it tomorrow night (one from Dinamo and the one from Sparta). Team Dinamo has been selected from the group that played last year (from what I can gather). Team Sparta has a few spots left to fill. Those not selected are encouraged to play in 3rd division as a team. Unfortunately someone may not make a team if all 3 teams are full and we have extras.

As I said Id be happy to have 7 players in Sparta (more game time) as long as we had the option of drawing from the 3rd div team if needed. The 3rd team may be able to register with only 6 players, I am not sure on the rules about player limits per team.

Again if we can dual register for the 2 grades then some may be able to cover the shortfall in the lower grade, again I am unsure of the rules though.
