ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

When we sing the new one - 'Tequila' but 'McKinna' - can we make this alteration which I think will assist its climax.

Dadadadadadadada
Dadadadadadada
Dadadadadadadada
Dadadadadadada
Ooh-woaaaaaaah
Ooh-woaaaaaaah
Ooh-woaaaaaaah
CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP            <----------this is instead of inaudible 'dadada'
MCKINNA!!

The other new one I'd like to do (and half got started the other night) is Jackie Wilson said:

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=9IxM0yRbq2U

Sing four reps of the 'doodoo doodoo doodaa' etc bit at the start, then break into the part that starts at 53secs in the video (I'm in heeeeeeeaven). Replace 'I'm in heeeeeavan' with 'Cen-tral Cooooooast'.

So you have

Doodoo doodoo doo daa
Doodoo doodoo doo
Doodoo doodoo doo daa
Doodoo doodoo doo
Doodoo doodoo doo daa
Doodoo doodoo doo
Doodoo doodoo doo daa
Doodoo doodoo doo
Cen-tral Cooooooooast
Cen-tral Cooooooooast
Cen-tral Cooooooooast
Cen-tral Cooooooooast

and repeat

My favourite that i don't think we see enough is the sh la la lala lala ohhh central coast. So easy to join in on and sounds great IMO

Good example - I was thinking on Sat how it's been a while for that one.

i know i was keen for it originally after seeing vids of FCN doing it. now i've seen them do it live... it's gold, and people further round the ground can easily hear it and join in. FCN had basically the entire southern end, all three tiers, jumping away, and people on the sides were singing and clapping if they weren't jumping.

additional points for 'nobody else in the league does it'.

Probably at the scumdome is best as mainly singers will be there.

Thats where we made "yellow football team" our own.

Jimmy, more drumming mate.

(ps - those old enough to remember DMR's will do the stupid dance too - or not)

I heard "2-1 to the coasty boys" being shouted at Sydney fans from the 'Balcony of Truth' following the game on Saturday.
Sounds much better than "2-1 to the mariners" imho.

Although I've relegated myself to the fact that OCCASIONALLY "Mariners - Clap x 3" must be tolerated, it really must be avoided except in cases of extreme desperation. Twice half is WAY to often IMO.

Hey, I taught my 16 month old sister that. She can't quite say "Mariners" it sort of comes out Maners - but close enough!!

I like all the chants we do - the ones that I can understand the word the first time around so I can sing it the next time it is done!

Thank god we're not going to pay any attention to this thread or we'd have nothing to sing - people seem to have a peculiar opposition to the chants that get the greatest involvement from not only Bay 16 but the rest of the crowd.

I've always been opposed to the 'F' or 'C' words in songs because I think it's unnecessary and replacing them with a lesser word doesn't detract from the chant.

Aside from that, anything racist, or singing about anybody being a pedophile crosses the line, IMO.  Apart from that I don't really care.

That rules out most of the football related chants that were popular in the Bobstand.
